  Drake Football   WEEK 13 FCS NATIONAL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Nick Herman, Drake, RB, Fr., 5-11, 190,...Herman rushed for 258 yards - the most by a Drake player since 2003 - in leading the Bulldogs (8-3) past Morehead State 17-10 for their third straight outright Pioneer Football League title. The biggest of his 27 carries was a 77-yard touchdown run with 3:05 remaining to extend Drake's lead to 17-7. He's 40 rushing yards shy of 1,000 as the Bulldogs enter the FCS playoffs.   Stephen F. Austin Football   WEEK 13 FCS NATIONAL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Bugs Mortimer, Stephen F. Austin, PR/WR, R-Jr. 5-10, 177,...The FCS' leading punt returner reversed a return for a 79-yard touchdown and set the SFA seasonal yardage record as the Southland Conference champion won at Northwestern State 62-14. It was Mortimer's fourth punt return TD - the most by an FCS player in a season since 2016. He also caught two passes and had 106 all-purpose yards. Mortimer is averaging 21.5 yards on 25 returns, and his 537 yards are 165 more than any other FCS player this season. The senior running back ran for 232 yards and two touchdowns for one of the greatest single game performances in MSU history.   Southern Illinois Football   WEEK 13 MISSOURI VALLEY OFFENSIVE LINEMAN OF THE WEEK: C Noah Fenske, Southern Illinois, 6-6, 310, Sr., New Hampton, Iowa,...Fenske helped lead the way for an SIU team that defeated No. 11 Illinois State, 37-7, on Saturday. Fenske and the Salukis were dominant at the line of scrimmage, rushing for 296 yards in the win. SIU also allowed just one sack against the Redbirds. With Fenske and company up front, the Salukis had two 100-yard rushers: Edward Robinson (145) and DJ Williams (134). Geelen went a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals against the Redbirds, including a long of 48 that came in the fourth quarter. The senior was also 4-for-4 on PATs.   Murray State Football   WEEK 13 MISSOURI VALLEY DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: DB Dylan Rowsey, Murray State, 6-1, 195, Jr., Rienzi, Miss.,...Rowsey did it all for the Racers defense on the day including 10 total tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss, a forced fumble and recovery, and an interception. The junior safety helped secure the Racers win with a strip sack in the final stages of the fourth quarter for his second takeaway on the day as he also once again led the team in tackles.   Lindenwood Football   WEEK 13 OVC-BIG SOUTH CO-FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Carter Johnson, DB, 6-4, 215, Fr., Waukee, Iowa, Lindenwood,...Johnson tallied four tackles (3 solo), an interception and pass breakup as Lindenwood topped Southeast Missouri 30-13 to keep possession of the “Game Ball Brawl” Trophy for the second-straight year. His interception came at the Lions 35-yard line in the second quarter and helped preserve a 10-0 halftime advantage. The defensive back helped the Lindenwood defense limit SEMO to just 176 yards of total offense on the day. The Lions finished the season with a 5-3 record in OVC-Big South competition, its first winning League mark since moving to the Division I level. The victory sealed a perfect 8-0 OVC-Big South record giving the Golden Eagles its second-straight Association title and the team its first outright Conference title since 1975. The sophomore also connected form 28 yards at the end of the second quarter to put TTU on the board. LeBlanc made both of his PATs and averaged 62.0 yards on five kickoffs, three of which went for touchbacks.   Tennessee Tech Football   WEEK 13 OVC-BIG SOUTH OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kekoa Visperas, QB, 6-0, 193, R-Sr., Eatonville, Wash., Tennessee Tech,...Visperas passed for 270 yards and two touchdowns as Tennessee Tech topped UT Martin 20-17 to finish 8-0 in OVC-Big South play to capture its second-straight Association Championship and win its first outright Conference title in 50 years. It also marked the team's 11th victory of the season, the most in school history. The transfer from Eastern Washington completed 31-of-45 passes including a 23-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter and an eight-yarder with 2:59 to play, which tied the game at 17. After a punt, Visperas led an eight-play, 63-yard drive that resulted in a 35-yard field goal by Dom LeBlanc to give TTU the victory. He ranks eighth nationally in passing touchdowns (25) and 23rd in total offense (247.5 yards/game).   Harvard Football   NOV 24 IVY LEAGUE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Ryan Tattersall, Harvard,...Harvard Football first-year Ryan Tattersall has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week. The wide receiver is the first Crimson player this season to earn rookie weekly accolades and is the first Harvard first-year to be recognized since Xaviah Bascon in 2023. Hailing from Wilmington, Delaware, Tattersall had five receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns at No. 25 Yale. His two-TD afternoon was his first multi-touchdown performance of the season and doubled his touchdown output entering the game (1 at Stetson). His five catches and 92 yards, meanwhile, were both career highs. Tattersall and his Harvard teammates now turn their focus to the postseason where 12th-seeded and No. 6/9 (coaches/media) Villanova awaits. The Crimson, which earned an at-large berth to the FCS Playoffs, will meet the Wildcats on the gridiron on Saturday at noon ET in a game that will air on ESPN+. - Ivy League Football

  Pennsylvania Football   NOV 24 IVY LEAGUE SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Santiago Sturla, Penn,...With the University of Pennsylvania football team's 2025 season finished, senior punter Santiago Sturla was named Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. The honor is Penn's ninth of the season and the first of Sturla's career. It's the fifth Special Teams Player of the Week honor the Quakers claimed this year, tying a program record set in 2008. Sturla was excellent in the punting game as Penn took down Princeton, 17-6, Saturday at Franklin Field. He punted four times for 131 yards, had a long of 40 yards, and had two punts land inside the 20-yard line. Most notably, none of Sturla's punts were returned which adds to a successful season for punt defense. Penn allowed just three punts for -12 yards all season long, the first team in FCS history to allow negative yardage throughout a year. - Ivy League Football

  Columbia Football   NOV 24 IVY LEAGUE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Justin Townsend, Columbia,...Columbia football's Justin Townsend earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honors, the conference office announced Monday afternoon. Townsend became the Lions' all-time sack leader and helped the team to a 29-12 victory over Cornell on Saturday. Townsend took over in the second half, posting 2.5 second-half sacks to finish his storied career with 23, one more than the previous record set in 2019. His record-breaking sack forced a fumble, which led to a Columbia touchdown to ice the game in the fourth quarter. He finished with four tackles on the day and helped the defense limit the Big Red to 88 rushing yards. - Ivy League Football
