Hawaii Football   Micah Alejado threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score on Saturday night to help Hawaii beat Utah State 44-26 for the Rainbow Warriors' first win over the Aggies since 2010. Alejado was 34-of-54 passing for 413 yards and three touchdowns - all to Pofele Ashlock - and scored on a 15-yard run that gave Hawaii (5-2, 2-1 Mountain West Conference) a 34-26 lead with 11:55 to play. Ashlock finished with eight receptions for 113 yards and touchdowns of 18, 7 and 31 yards. Jackson Harris had 117 yards receiving on seven catches and Landon Sims had 10 carries for 82 yards and a TD.

Bryson Barnes threw a 32-yard touchdown to Broc Lane that gave Utah State (3-3, 1-1) a 26-24 lead 59 seconds into the second half before the Rainbow Warriors scored the final 20 points. The Aggies had won eight straight- by an average of 26.4 points - against Hawaii. Kansei Matsuzawa made field goals of 46 and 36 yards in the second half. Hawaii's Nick Cenacle, a preseason all-Mountain West Conference selection who returned from a four-game absence (knee), had six receptions for 57 yards.   Utah Football   Devin Dampier ran for 120 yards and three touchdowns as Utah ran over No. 21 Arizona State 42-10 on Saturday night. Dampier, who has battled lower leg injuries this season, looked fresh after Utah's bye week and became the first Utes QB to rush for more than 100 yards since Travis Wilson against Oregon in 2015. "(The offensive line) gave me great space to make plays," Dampier said. "I felt my best for sure."

Severe thunderstorms soaked the field but didn't slow down Dampier, who avoided tacklers on just 10 carries. "You saw some of the moves he made tonight. He just wasn't capable of making those moves last few weeks," Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said. "We're elated he's back to 100 percent." Dampier ran twice for touchdowns in the first half, from 12 yards and from 24 yards out, and then added a 9-yard score in the third quarter. Dampier was 7 for 12 for 104 yards passing as Utah (5-1, 2-1 Big 12) rarely felt the need to throw the ball. Arizona State starting QB Sam Leavitt missed the game with a right foot injury. Sixth-year senior Jeff Sims - one of the most experienced backups in the country with starts at Georgia Tech, Nebraska and ASU - was 18 for 38 for 124 yards passing. - AP College Football

Boise State Football   Maddux Madsen threw two touchdown passes, Sire Gaines ran for two scores and Boise State pulled away with a 21-point fourth quarter to beat New Mexico 41-25 on Saturday night. Colton Boomer kicked a short field goal and Gaines scored on a 2-yard run on the final play of the first quarter to give Boise State (4-2, 2-0 Mountain West Conference) a 10-0 lead. Damon Bankston returned the kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to begin the second quarter and New Mexico (3-3, 0-2) pulled within three points. Jack Layne had a 1-yard touchdown toss to Dorian Thomas with 10:30 left and the Lobos moved in front 14-10. Madsen answered with a 6-yard touchdown pass to Ben Ford and the Broncos took a 17-14 lead into halftime.

Boomer and Luke Drzewiecki traded third-quarter field goals and Boise State headed to the fourth with a 20-17 advantage. Gaines scored on a 4-yard run to up the Broncos' lead to 10 just 38 seconds into the final quarter. Punter/holder Oscar Doyle tossed a 10-yard touchdown pass to Troy Grizzle when a field-goal attempt went awry and Madsen connected with Ford for a 25-yard score and a 24-point lead with 5:14 left to play. Madsen completed 21 of 31 passes for 226 yards. Dylan Riley rushed for 101 yards on 18 carries and Gaines gained 65 yards on 20 rushes. Layne completed 7 of 17 passes for 115 yards with two interceptions for the Lobos. James Laubstein took over and had 67 yards on 8-for-11 passing with a 4-yard scoring toss to Keagan Johnson with 1:16 left to play. - Boise State/AP College Football

BYU Football   Freshman quarterback Bear Bachmeier ran for a 7-yard touchdown in the second overtime, BYU's defense stopped Arizona on the ensuing drive and the 18th-ranked Cougars stayed undefeated with a 33-27 win over the Wildcats on Saturday night. Bachmeier's run up the middle gave BYU a 33-27 lead, but the 2-point conversion attempt was deflected and fell incomplete. Arizona had a chance to tie the game, but Noah Fifita's fourth-down pass bounced off the hands of Javin Whatley, who was trying to make a tough catch in the end zone. "There's no better feeling than winning, especially winning in double overtime on the road against a really good team," BYU receiver Parker Kingston said. "It was awesome." BYU (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) has won its first six games for a second straight season and seventh time in program history.

Arizona (4-2, 1-2) has dropped two of its past three games. BYU fought back from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter, tying the game at 24 with 19 seconds left in regulation when Bachmeier ran for a 2-yard touchdown. Kedrick Reescano gave Arizona a 24-14 lead with 11:14 left in the game after a powerful 36-yard touchdown run that went right through the middle of the BYU defense. The 214-pound back met resistance at the line of scrimmage, but broke through a few tackles and dashed toward the end zone. BYU's LJ Martin ran for a career-high 162 yards and a score. Linebacker Siale Esera finished with a team-high 16 tackles. Bachmeier threw for 172 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions while also running for 89 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. - BYU/AP College Football

San Diego State Football   Jayden Denegal was 14-of-17 passing for 205 yards and two touchdowns, Chris Johnson returned an interception 40 yards for a score, and San Diego State beat Nevada 44-10 on Saturday night for the Aztecs' fourth straight win. Nevada (1-5, 0-2 Mountain West Conference) has lost 13 straight in conference play and 11 in a row versus FBS opponents. Nevada went three-and-out on the game's opening drive and Jordan Napier - who finished with five receptions for 110 yards - returned the ensuing punt 75 yards for a touchdown just 59 seconds into the game. Johnson's pick-6 gave the Aztecs (5-1, 2-0) a 14-0 lead with 7:11 left in the first quarter.

Denegal threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Christian Washington on the first play of the second quarter and a 31-yard scoring strike to Jacob Bostick with 9:05 left in the first half before Lucky Sutton ran for a 3-yard TD that made it 35-0 with 1:46 to go in the first half. Gabriel Plascencia made field goals of 21, 45 and 49 yards in the third quarter. The senior is 10 of 10 this season and has made 22 straight, dating to last season, the longest active streak in Division I. San Diego State's Brady Anderson was ejected with a little more than four minutes to play for a hitting a defenseless player after a hit on sliding quarterback Carter Jones. Joe McFadden kicked a 34-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter and Jones threw a 16-yard TD pass to Marshaun Brown with 2:32 to play. Jones, a true freshman who made his first career start, was 16-of-32 passing for 177 yards with two interceptions. - San Diego State/AP College Football

Sacramento State Football   Cardell Williams rushed for three touchdowns, Rodney Hammond Jr. had two touchdown runs before returning a kickoff for a score and Sacramento State steamrolled Weber State 55-27 on Saturday night. Williams scored on a 10-yard run with 55 seconds left in the first quarter to give Sacramento State (3-3, 1-1 Big Sky Conference) a 7-3 lead. Hammond scored on a 14-yard run 58 seconds into the second quarter and Williams followed with a 51-yard touchdown run less than three minutes later for a 21-3 advantage.

Dijon Jennings had a 5-yard touchdown run at the end of a 13-play drive for Weber State (2-4, 0-2) to cut it to 21-10.   Troy Football   Tucker Kilcrease passed for 415 yards and five touchdowns and Troy rallied to beat Texas State 48-41 in overtime on Saturday night. Kilcrease tossed a 2-yard touchdown pass to Trae Swartz early in the fourth quarter to pull Troy to 41-33 and then threw an 18-yard TD pass to DJ Epps that tied it 41-all with 1:13 remaining in regulation. Texas State's Tyler Robles missed a 42-yard field-goal attempt to force overtime. Kilcrease and Epps connected on a 6-yard touchdown to open the extra period. Texas State's Brad Jackson was stuffed for no gain on fourth-and-1 from the 16 to end it.

Troy (3-2, 1-0 Sun Belt Conference) trailed 31-14 late in the second quarter before Paddy McAteer's 53-yard field goal pulled the Trojans to 31-17 at the break. Kilcrease finished 30-of-39 passing and Epps had 10 catches for 148 yards. RaRa Thomas added 81 yards receiving with a touchdown for the Trojans. Jackson Worley also had a TD catch.   LSU Football   Garrett Nussmeier passed for two touchdowns, LSU's defense contained South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers, and the 11th-ranked Tigers overcame three turnovers to defeat the Gamecocks 20-10 on Saturday night. The victory arguably should have been easier for LSU (5-1, 2-1 SEC), which twice lost the ball right at the South Carolina goal line. The first of Nussmeier's two interceptions also occurred on the Gamecocks' side of the field. Tight end Trey'Dez Green helped the Tigers overcome the mistakes by catching eight passes for 119 yards and a touchdown. Kyle Parker had five catches for 75 yards, highlighted by his 43-yard score on which he snagged a short slant pass in stride and ran away from everyone. LSU also rushed for a season-high 168 yards, led by Caden Durham's 70 yards on 15 carries. Damian Ramos' second field goal of the game all but sealed it with 1:46 left, capping a drive that started after LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane had broken up Sellers' fourth-down pass with 5:43 left.

Sellers passed for 124 yards, took five sacks and was intercepted once. He drove South Carolina (3-3, 1-3) into LSU territory six times, but four of those possessions produced no points. The first ended with a missed field goal, two ended with punts and the last with a turnover on downs. LSU was on the brink of taking a 10-0 lead early in the second quarter as running back Ju'Juan Johnson fought through tacklers to try to reach the goal line. But defensive tackle Monkell Goodwine dislodged the ball and edge rusher Bryan Thomas Jr. recovered in the end zone. Three plays later Matt Fuller, who entered the game with 71 yards rushing this season, broke loose for a 72-yard touchdown run to give the Gamecocks a 7-3 lead. The Tigers responded quickly, driving 72 yards in six plays for Green's leaping 6-yard touchdown catch on a fade pass. - AP College Football

South Florida Football   KJ Cooper threw a touchdown pass and ran for a 1-yard TD, Athean Renfro ran for 152 yards, including a 60-yard score, and Texas Southern beat Grambling 21-20 on Saturday night. Cooper was 11-of-20 passing for 89 yards with a 7-yard TD pass to Xavier Phipps. Jacob Washington had 69 yards rushing on 11 carries for Texas Southern (2-3, 2-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference).

Jay'Shuan Johnson returned the opening kickoff of the second half 95 yards for a touchdown that gave Grambling (3-3, 0-2) a 20-14 lead but, after Chaunzavia Lewis returned the ensuing kick 38 yards to midfield, Cooper capped a six-play, 50-yard drive with his TD run that gave Texas Southern the lead for good.   Georgia Football   Linebacker CJ Allen forced a fumble at the goal line in a momentum-turning play, and No. 10 Georgia rallied to beat Auburn and win the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry for the ninth consecutive year, 20-10 on Saturday night. Allen finished with 10 tackles, including a sack, and a pass breakup. But his most significant play came late in the second quarter and with Auburn (3-3, 0-3 Southeastern Conference) on the verge of pulling ahead 17-0. The Bulldogs (5-1, 3-1) got a break when Auburn quarterback Jackson Arnold fumbled on a third-and-goal play with 1:32 to play in the half.

Although replays appeared to show the ball breaking the plane of the goal, officials had no conclusive evidence to overturn the call on the field. So the play stood with Allen getting credit for a forced fumble and Kyron Jones getting credit for a fumble recovery. Georgia then drove 88 yards for a field goal just before the break. The 10-point swing irritated Auburn - coach Hugh Freeze and assistants gave officials an earful heading into the locker room - and invigorated the Bulldogs. The Tigers managed just 50 yards in the second half. Georgia converted a fourth-and-3 play at the Auburn 40 with 5:19 to play to keep a nearly nine-minute lengthy drive alive, and Gunner Stockton sealed the victory with a 10-yard bootleg with less than two minutes to go.   Oregon Football   Koi Perich returned an interception for the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter and Minnesota held on to defeat Purdue 27-20 on Saturday. Drake Lindsey threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns for the Golden Gophers (4-2, 2-1 in the Big Ten), who overcame deficits of 10-0 and 20-13. Ryan Browne threw for 203 yards and ran for 61 yards and a touchdown for Purdue (2-4, 0-3), who outrushed the Gophers 253-30 but were done in by numerous mistakes. Minnesota tied the game 20-20 midway through the fourth on a 14-play, 70-yard drive that ended in Lindsey's 4-yard touchdown pass to Jameson Geers. The drive was aided by two face mask penalties on the Boilermakers.

On the next play from scrimmage, Perich - a sophomore safety who made many preseason All-America lists - jumped in front of a Browne pass and returned it 27 yards for the go-ahead touchdown. Browne then marched the Boilermakers all the way to Minnesota's 5-yard line, but a holding penalty pushed them back 10 yards and a fourth-down pass was broken up at the goal line by Jai'Onte' McMillan. Myles Slusher had six tackles, broke up two passes and intercepted another for the Boilermakers, who have lost four straight. - Minnesota/AP College Football

Texas Tech Football   Cameron Dickey ran for 263 yards and two long touchdowns, Will Hammond scored twice after replacing injured quarterback Behren Morton and No. 9 Texas Tech beat Kansas 42-17 on Saturday night. Dickey sprinted 71 yards on the first offensive play for the Red Raiders and added a 55-yard TD run early in the fourth quarter. Texas Tech (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) had 372 yards rushing and recovered from a malaise after Morton's injury in the school's first game as an AP top 10 team since 2013. A 21-0 Texas Tech lead was down to four points at the break when the Jayhawks (4-3, 2-2) scored on three of their first four possessions after Morton appeared to injure his lower right leg on a sack in the second quarter. He didn't return.

Hammond threw an interception and the Red Raiders punted on his other three possessions before halftime. But the redshirt freshman ran 20 yards for a touchdown on the first drive of the second half. Dickey's second long TD put Texas Tech up 35-17, and Hammond's 10-yard run finished the scoring. Hammond had 61 yards rushing. It's the third time Hammond has come on with Morton not returning this season. Morton hyperextended his right knee in a 67-7 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the season opener and was sidelined in a 34-10 win over Utah after taking a hard hit to the head. Jalon Daniels threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns for Kansas, which dropped to 1-12 in Lubbock and has lost 24 of 26 meetings with the Red Raiders. - Texas Tech/AP College Football

  10/11/25 - RB King Miller, rSo/2029, USC + More +

USC Football   Freshman walk-on King Miller rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown, and Jayden Maiava passed for 265 yards and two scores in Southern California's emphatic 31-13 victory over No. 15 Michigan on Saturday night. Makai Lemon made a spectacular 12-yard TD catch right before halftime for the Trojans (5-1, 3-1 Big Ten), who rebounded sharply from their heartbreaking, last-gasp loss at Illinois two weeks ago. Despite playing without two starting offensive linemen, USC won with hard-nosed Big Ten football that included 224 yards rushing - most from tailbacks far down the depth chart - against the nation's seventh-ranked run defense. Bishop Fitzgerald made two interceptions to highlight a strong effort by USC's defense.

Bryce Underwood passed for 207 yards and two touchdowns for the Wolverines (4-2, 2-1), whose three-game winning streak ended in their school's first visit to the Coliseum since 1957. Michigan scored just once on its first six full drives into the fourth quarter, but the Wolverines' defense made two red-zone takeaways to keep them from getting blown out before Andrew Marsh made a 69-yard TD catch with 9:17 left, trimming USC's lead to 24-13. But backup tailback Bryan Jackson romped in for a 29-yard TD with 4:21 left to seal USC's first victory over Michigan since the Rose Bowl in January 2007. These historic college football powerhouses have beaten each other at home in their first two seasons as Big Ten rivals. Both teams' star running backs got hurt in the first half, with USC's Waymond Jordan and Michigan's Justice Haynes both missing the second half. Miller seized his opportunity with the first three tailbacks on the Trojans' depth chart all sidelined by injury, ripping off a 49-yard run and a 47-yard run to extend second-half drives. He became the first walk-on to score a touchdown for USC since 1994 with a 15-yard run in the third quarter. - USC/AP College Football

Clemson Football   Cade Klubnik threw for a touchdown and ran for another when Clemson opened a big first-half lead before leaving with an injury late in the third quarter, and the Tigers beat struggling Boston College 41-10 on Saturday night. Klubnik completed 22 of 30 passes for 280 yards with an interception for the Tigers (3-3, 2-2 Atlantic Coast Conference). He went to the tent after taking a hard hit on a run and remained there for a while before exiting a few minutes into the fourth. Adam Randall and Peter Woods (defensive-tackle-turned-running-back for the play) each had a short scoring run for Clemson, which beat BC for the 13th consecutive time.

Dylan Lonergan went 12 of 19 for 117 yards for BC (1-5, 0-4). The Eagles have lost five straight. Scoring on all six of their first-half drives, the Tigers opened a 34-10 edge at halftime. Clemson had moved ahead 24-10 on Klubnik's 6-yard TD run around the right end, but the Eagles drove to the Tigers' 30 before linebacker Sammy Brown came around the right edge, forcing Lonergan's fumble that teammate T.J. Parker recovered. Three pays later, Klubnik hit Bryant Wesco in the left corner of the end zone for a 38-yard score that made it 31-10. - Clemson/AP College Football

Texas AM Football   Marcel Reed threw for 234 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score as No. 5 Texas A&M continued its perfect start with a 34-17 victory over Florida on Saturday night. It's the first 6-0 start for the Aggies since 2016 and they improved to 3-0 in Southeastern Conference play. Florida (2-4, 1-2) was unable to build off last week's 29-21 upset over then-No. 9 Texas that snapped a three-game skid as coach Billy Napier fell to 0-14 on the road against ranked opponents. Texas A&M scored touchdowns on its first three possessions but managed only a field goal after that until Rueben Owens scored on a 2-yard run that made it 31-17 with about 4 1/2 minutes to go. That score came after Florida couldn't take advantage of a turnover and Texas A&M took more than eight minutes off the clock on the drive. The Aggies led by 7 when Jordan Castell intercepted Reed in the end zone on the first play of the fourth quarter.

DJ Lagway's pass was deflected and fell incomplete on fourth-and-6 near midfield to give Texas A&M the ball back to start the drive that ended in the score by Owens. Dayon Hayes sacked Lagway and forced a fumble that the Aggies recovered on the first play of Florida's next drive and they tacked on a field goal to seal the victory. The Gators looked good early and it was tied at 14 at the end of the first quarter before Texas A&M outscored them 20-3 the rest of the way. Lagway threw for 245 yards with two touchdowns and Vernell Brown III had six receptions for 77 yards as the Gators faced their fourth straight opponent ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll. The Aggies had 183 yards rushing a week after running for a season-high 303 yards despite starter Le'Veon Moss leaving before halftime with an apparent injury. Owens ran for 51 yards and Moss had five carries for 46 yards and a touchdown before limping off the field in the second quarter. - Texas AM/AP College Football
