Lehigh Football   Hayden Johnson threw for 267 yards and ran for one touchdown, and undefeated Lehigh cruised past Fordham 27–6 on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks (8-0, 3-0) are off to their best start since 2013, when they finished the regular season 10-1 and went 8-0 in conference play. The win keeps Lehigh in firm control atop the Patriot League standings heading into November. Nick Garrido opened the scoring with a 36-yard field goal before quarterback Johnson capped a 79-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run late in the first half.

Running backs Luke Yoder and Jaden Green added short scoring runs in the third quarter to stretch the lead to 24–0. Garrido's 22-yard field goal in the final minutes sealed the win after Fordham's lone touchdown - a 1-yard keeper from Gunnar Smith - broke the shutout late in the third. The Mountain Hawks rolled up 429 total yards while their relentless defese held the Rams to 74 yards on the ground. Johnson completed 17 of 26 passes for 267 yards, and Yoder paced the rushing attack with 79 yards. Smith threw for 203 yards for the Rams (1-7, 1-3). - AP College Football

Wisconsin Football   Colton Joseph threw three touchdown passes and Old Dominion held on to beat Appalachian State 24-21 on Saturday. The Monarchs (5-3, 2-2 Sun Belt Conference) led 10-7 at halftime then added two third-quarter touchdowns on Joseph's 16-yarder to Na'eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding and a 24-yard score to Ja'Cory Thomas. App State backup AJ Swann entered in the fourth quarter and threw a 36-yard score to Kanen Hamlett and a 34-yarder to Davion Dozier with 1:35 left to get the Mountaineers (4-4, 1-3) within three. But the Monarchs recovered the onside kick and ran out the clock.

Joseph was 21-of-33 passing for 305 yards with the three scores plus an interception. He led all rushers with 62 yards. Joseph's other TD throw was a short pass to Ke'Travion Hargrove that the latter turned into a 70-yard score to open the scoring. Abdul-Rahim had 105 yards on eight catches. App State starter JJ Kohl was 19-of-37 passing for 138 yards with a score and two interceptions. Swann was 12 of 16 for 140 yards and two TDs. Jaden Barnes had a TD catch. - Old Dominion/AP College Football

Virginia Football   J'Mari Taylor scored on a 1-yard run in overtime, lifting No. 16 Virginia to a 17-16 victory over North Carolina on Saturday. The Tar Heels answered with Davion Gause's 9-yard touchdown grab, but Ben Hall was stopped just short of the end zone on the ensuing 2-point try. Chandler Morris threw for 200 yards with one touchdown and one interception for the Cavaliers (7-1, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), who are off to their best start since 2007. Gio Lopez finished with 208 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for the Tar Heels (2-5, 0-3), who lost their fourth straight.

For the second time in two weeks, a goal-line gaffe by North Carolina proved costly when wide receiver Kobe Paysour fumbled at the 1 while stretching for the pylon early in the first quarter. The football trickled out of the end zone, resulting in a touchback. A week earlier in a loss to California, Nathan Leacock coughed up the ball in similar fashion as the Tar Heels were on the verge of grabbing a fourth-quarter lead and possibly their first ACC win under coach Bill Belichick. The teams traded field goals before Virginia took a 10-3 lead with 6:36 left in the second quarter on Trell Harris' 30-yard touchdown grab. North Carolina tied it again on a 1-yard run by Lopez just 1:24 before halftime. North Carolina turned it over once more in the red zone later in the game when defensive end Mitchell Melton picked off Lopez at the Cavaliers' 5. The Tar Heels' five red-zone turnovers are tied for most in FBS. - Virginia/AP College Football

Auburn Football   Rayshawn Pleasant's 49-yard interception return for a touchdown with 9:15 left proved to be the game-winning score as Auburn picked up its first win in Southeastern Conference play, 33-24, over Arkansas on Saturday. The Tigers (4-4, 1-4) picked up new life after inserting Ashton Daniels at quarterback late in the second quarter. Auburn's starter, Jackson Arnold, was benched after throwing an interception late in the half that Arkansas' Kani Walker returned 89 yards for a touchdown, giving the Razorbacks a 21-10 lead at the break. Daniels led Auburn on three straight scoring drives to start the third quarter, all finishing with field goals, to trim Arkansas' lead to 24-19 at the time of Pleasant's interception. The Tigers' quarterback finished 6 of 8 for 77 yards through his two-plus quarters of work after coming on for Arnold. Arkansas (2-6, 0-4) didn't have the ball enough for a comeback. Auburn won the time-of-possession battle by more than 13 minutes and the Razorbacks committed turnovers on three straight possessions following Pleasant's touchdown.

O'Mega Blake lost a fumble at the Auburn 44 that the Tigers ultimately turned into another field goal, Alex McPherson's fourth of the game. Pleasant intercepted Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green a second time at the Auburn 45 on the next Razorbacks' series. Auburn converted a fourth-and-1 at the Arkansas 27 with 2:42 left and McPherson finished the drive with a 37-yard field goal to provide the final score with 1:06 to play. Jeremiah Cobb led Auburn with 153 yards rushing on 28 carries. Rohan Jones had Arkansas' best offensive day, catching three passes for 127 yards. Raylen Sharpe caught a touchdown pass from Green in Arkansas' 21-point second quarter. Green finished 14 of 22 for 268 yards with the touchdown and three interceptions, the last of which came on the first play of Arkansas' final drive. McPherson made field goals of 36, 23, 43, 26, 47 and 37 yards. - Auburn/AP College Football

Stonehill Football   Jack O'Connell threw two touchdown passes, Domenic Scalese kicked three field goals and Stonehill defeated Mercyhurst 22-15 on Saturday. O'Connell's TD passes - 23 yards to Torance Washington Jr. and 14 yards to Zachary Kim - put Stonehill up 13-0 in the first quarter. The Skyhawks did not reach the end zone again but Scalese's field goals of 19, 44 and 26 yards led to a 22-7 lead in the fourth quarter. Mercyhurst got a 6-yard touchdown pass from Adam Urena to Joe Kerbacher with 51 seconds left. Urena's two-point conversion pass was successful, but Stonehill recovered the ensuing onside kick. O'Connell was 12-for-19 passing for 188 yards and added 52 yards rushing. Zavion Woodard had 57 yards rushing among the 122-yard total for the Skyhawks (3-5, 2-1 NEC).   Maine Football   Rashawn Marshall ran for 141 yards, including a 61-yard touchdown to cap the win, and Maine rallied from an early deficit to beat Elon 35–14 on Saturday in Colonial Athletic Association play. Maine has won four in a row after losing four straight to open the season. Jimmyll Williams put Elon (4–5, 2–3) in front early with a 17-yard scoring run on his first touch of the game midway through the first quarter. From there, though, the Black Bears (4–4, 3–1) took control behind quarterback Carter Peevy and a stingy defense.

Peevy threw for 260 yards and two touchdowns and added a short rushing score. He found Jake Kucera for his first touchdown of the season to tie the game in the second quarter, then connected with Gianni Rossitto - also for his first score - to give Maine a 14–7 lead before halftime. Devin Vaught's interception in the end zone, his third of the year, set up Peevy's go-ahead drive. Scott Woods broke the game open in the fourth quarter with an 85-yard punt return touchdown, and Marshall sealed it minutes later with his 61-yard sprint to the end zone. Landen Clark completed 16 of 23 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown for Elon, which was held to just 231 total yards. - AP College Football

Kent State Football   Da'Realyst Clark found Wayne Harris wide open in the end zone on a wide receiver pass with 3:15 remaining and Kent State held off Bowling Green 24-21 on Saturday. Kent State trailed 21-3 with 8:47 left in the third quarter before scoring 21 straight. The Golden Flashes went 79 yards in seven plays to get within 21-10 on a 29-yard touchdown pass from Dru DeShields to Cade Wolford. After Bowling Green went three-and-out, Gavin Garcia raced for a 45-yard touchdown to make it 21-17 with 4:23 left in the third. After Kent State's go-ahead trick play, Bowling Green was stopped on two drives in the final three minutes to seal it.

DeShields threw for 160 yards with one touchdown for Kent State (3-5, 2-2 Mid-American Conference). Bowling Green (3-5, 1-3) starting quarterback Baron May was carted off the field with 28 seconds left after a non-contact injury. He threw for 142 yards and a touchdown. Austyn Dendy carried it 20 times for 93 yards and a touchdown. Kent State won its 25th game in the 93rd all-time meeting. - Kent State/AP College Football

Indiana Football   Aiden Fisher intercepted the first pass of the game and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown and the Mendoza brothers - Fernando and Alberto - each ran for scores as No. 2 Indiana routed UCLA 56-6 on Saturday. The Hoosiers (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) extended their school-record home winning streak to 14, protected the highest ranking in school history for the second straight week and now open a second straight November with a perfect record. Fernando Mendoza was 15 of 22 for 168 yards, three TDs and one interception before leaving late in the third quarter as he was serenaded again with chants of "Heismendoza" from the student section. Roman Hemby finished with 17 carries, 81 yards and two scores while Kaelon Black rushed 10 times for 70 yards.

E.J. Williams Jr. had five catches for 109 yards and two scores as Indiana outgained UCLA 475-201 in total yards. The Bruins (3-5, 3-2) saw their three-game winning streak snapped as Nico Iamaleava went 13 of 27 for 113 yards and two interceptions. He ran seven times for 28 yards. UCLA never recovered from its poor start. After Fisher's interception 57 seconds into the game, the Hoosiers pulled away on Hemby's 1-yard TD run late in the first quarter and a second-quarter flurry that began with Elijah Sarratt's 1-yard TD catch, continued with Hemby's 13-yard run and ended with Williams' 2-yard TD catch to make it 35-3. Indiana sealed it with Fernando Mendoza's nifty 20-yard scoring run, Williams' 62-yard catch and Alberto Mendoza's 4-yard run early in the fourth. - Indiana/AP College Football

Georgia Tech Football   Haynes King threw two touchdown passes to Josh Beetham in the second quarter and accounted for five on the day, and No. 7 Georgia Tech cruised to a 41-16 victory over Syracuse on Saturday in its first home game as a top-10 team since 2009. The Yellow Jackets (8-0, 5-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) briefly fell behind 3-0 early, but even Syracuse's lone points of the first half felt like a missed opportunity. The Orange (3-5, 1-4) had the ball first-and-goal at the 1, but two pre-snap penalties and a sack killed the momentum and forced a field goal attempt.

Georgia Tech scored the next 20 points, with the two King-to-Beetham touchdowns sandwiched between field goals, and ended up allowing its lowest point total of the season in conference play. King tacked on another touchdown pass to Dean Patterson, and reached the end zone twice with his legs later on to make it five total touchdowns.   Nebraska Football   Emmett Johnson scored the tie-breaking touchdown on a 4-yard run with 2:44 left, and Nebraska ended Northwestern's four-game winning streak with a 28-21 victory Saturday to become bowl eligible for the second straight season. The Cornhuskers (6-2, 3-2 Big Ten) bounced back from a loss at Minnesota last week, but not before some anxious moments after they squandered a 15-point lead. Dylan Raiola converted four third-down passes on the winning 13-play, 64-yard drive that chewed 6:27 off the clock. The Wildcats (5-3, 3-2) turned the ball over on downs, and Nebraska ran out the clock. Johnson had a career-high 27 carries and finished with 124 yards as Nebraska leaned into the run game after Minnesota sacked Raiola nine times. Raiola was 16 of 22, his second-fewest attempts in 21 career games, for 141 yards.

The Huskers had led 21-6 midway through the third quarter after Kenneth Williams' 95-yard kick return and Nyziah Hunter's diving catch for a touchdown. The Wildcats drove 78 yards to pull within 21-13 on Caleb Komolafe's 4-yard run, and on their next possession Komolafe bounced to the outside and ran free for a 56-yard TD. Preston Stone threw to Hayden Eligon II under pressure for the 2-point conversion to make it 21-all. Northwestern was in position to take the lead when Mac Uihlein picked off Raiola to set up the Wildcats at the Nebraska 34, but the Huskers got the ball back when Stone threw an interception over the middle to waiting linebacker Javin Wright.   Rutgers Football   Jai Patel's 30-yard field goal as time expired on Saturday gave Rutgers a 27-24 victory over Purdue. The field goal gave Rutgers (4-4, 1-4) its first Big Ten win this season while Purdue's record fell to 2-6 and 0-5. The Boilermakers had taken a 27-24 lead on Ryan Browne's 14-yard touchdown pass to Nitro Tuggle with 4:43 remaining. The Scarlet Knights picked up a first down on the Purdue 7, but had to settle for a 20-yard field goal by Patel to tie it at 24 with 1:06 left. Browne caught his own pass and lost the fumble at his own 30 with 59 seconds left, which led to the winning field goal.

Scarlet Knights quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis completed 19 of 27 passes for 359 yards. He ran for one touchdown and passed for another. Antwan Raymond ran for 116 yards on 29 carries with one touchdown. The Boilermakers took a 17-7 lead on Malachi Singleton's 3-yard TD pass to Devin Mockobee in the first 2 minutes of the third quarter. Rutgers followed with 14 consecutive points. The Scarlet Knights narrowed the deficit to 17-14 on a 72-yard TD pass from Kaliakmanis to K.J. Duff, then took a 24-17 lead on Kaliakmanis' 1-yard TD run. - Rutgers/AP College Football

Kansas State Football   Avery Johnson threw for 231 yards while accounting for four touchdowns, Kansas State returned a fumble 20 yards for another score, and the Wildcats routed Kansas 42-17 on Saturday for their 17th consecutive victory in the Sunflower Showdown. Johnson ran for two TDs and threw for two more, including a 78-yard strike to Jayce Brown, who finished with four catches for 160 yards. Joe Jackson added 69 yards on the ground, helping the Wildcats (4-4, 3-2 Big 12) to run out the clock late. Kansas State made life especially miserable on a cold, wet day for Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels, who was 17 of 35 for 129 yards with an interception. Daniels did have a touchdown run, while Daniel Hishaw Jr. ran for 67 yards and a score. The Jayhawks (4-4, 2-3) still have not beaten their rival down Interstate 70 since Nov. 1, 2008 - seven head coaches ago. The opening half Saturday was an exercise in polar-opposite quarters. The first was downright crazy: Kansas State fumbled the opening kickoff, leading to a quick touchdown by Kansas. Then the Wildcats answered with a long touchdown drive, held the Jayhawks, then scooped up a poor snap on the punt and returned it for another score, giving coach Chris Klieman's bunch a 21-7 advantage.

The second quarter was downright boring: Kansas took over midway through it and embarked on an 18-play, 85-yard drive in which it converted four third downs and soaked up more than 8 1/2 minutes. By the time Daniel Hishaw barreled into the end zone to make it 21-14, the Wildcats had enough time to run just one play before the break. As so often happens in this rivalry, the good feelings for Kansas didn't last. The Jayhawks went three-and-out on their opening two series of the second half, and Kansas State capitalized on an interception of Daniels to extend the lead on DeVon Rice's touchdown plunge midway through the third quarter. The decisive blow came moments later, after Kansas had settled for a field goal to make it 28-17. On the Wildcats' next play from scrimmage, Johnson found Brown in stride down the sideline for a 78-yard touchdown reception. Kansas turned over on downs on its next two possessions, allowing the Wildcats to begin their celebration early. - Kansas State/AP College Football

Stanzani was 15-of-26 passing for 152 yards with an interception and ran 20 times for 98 yards for LIU (3-5). His four rushing TDs were tied for the most in an FCS game this season.

Brodie Williams picked off a pass from Stanzani and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown that gave New Haven (4-4) a 16-14 lead with 9:34 left in the second quarter. Stanzani ran for a 3-yard touchdown that gave LIU the lead for good with 1:21 left in the first half. Jalen Smith returned the ensuing kickoff 51 yards before kicker Will Johnson forced a fumble that was recovered by Dylan Merrell at the LIU 41 and two plays later Stanzani threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Jayden Simpson that made it 28-16 at halftime.   Wagner Football   Jack Stevens threw for one touchdown and ran for another, Andre Hines scored a key touchdown late in the fourth quarter, and Wagner defeated Duquesne 24-13 on Saturday. Hines rushed for 90 yards and his 24-yard touchdown run with 1:55 remaining sealed the win as last beat first in the NEC. Stevens threw a 6-yard TD pass to Malik Redd to open the scoring and a 6-yard run by Stevens gave the Seahawks a 17-7 lead going into halftime. Duquesne closed to within 17-13 on Tyler Riddell's 2-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Matt Clark missed the extra point and also missed a 49-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

Leading 17-13 late in the fourth, Malik Cooper's 40-yard run to the Duquesne 24-yard line set up Hines for his win-sealing touchdown. Cooper, a wide receiver, had two carries for 54 yards, although he did not catch a pass. Stevens completed 10 of 13 passes for 62 yards. The Seahawks (2-6, 1-2) added 249 yards rushing. Riddell was 21-of-30 passing for 163 yards. He was intercepted once. The Dukes (5-4, 3-1) were held to 240 total yards. Duquesne had opened conference play 3-0 for the third straight season and the sixth time since joining the league in 2008, outscoring NEC opponents 123-21 through three games.
