  Illinois State Football   Tommy Rittenhouse had a touchdown pass and a touchdown run to guide Illinois State to a 31-16 victory over Northern Iowa on Saturday. Rittenhouse scored on a 4-yard run and Seth Glatz ran it in from 2-yards out - both in the final five minutes of the first quarter as the Redbirds (6-3, 3-2 Missouri Valley Football Conference) grabbed a 14-0 lead and never looked back. Rittenhouse connected with Javon Charles for a 19-yard touchdown and a 21-0 lead in the second quarter. Max Bartachek kicked a 28-yard field goal with 24 seconds left to get Northern Iowa (2-7, 0-5) on the scoreboard before halftime.

Harrison Bey-Buie had a 2-yard touchdown run for the Panthers, but Victor Dawson answered with a 9-yard scoring run and Illinois State led 28-10 after three. JC Roque Jr. fired a 41-yard scoring strike to Jaxon Dailey 13 seconds into the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 12. Matt Maldonado's 32-yard field goal capped the scoring with 1:53 left to play. Rittenhouse completed 28 of 37 passes for 228 yards. Dawson carried 17 times for 101 yards.   South Carolina State Football   William Atkins IV threw for 363 yards and a touchdown, Tyler Smith ran for a pair of touchdowns and South Carolina State held off Morgan State for a 36-30 win on Saturday. South Carolina State (6-3, 2-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) led 7-0 after the first quarter, 28-10 at halftime and 33-10 after three. Nico Cavanillas Alti registered the Bulldogs' final points with a 36-yard field goal with 12:58 left to make it 36-10.

Morgan State quarterback Raymond Moore III threw a 14-yard touchdown to Dorian Harris with 8:29 left and a 25 yarder to Joseph Kennedy Jr. before a failed two-point conversion with 2:03 to go. After the recovery of an onside kick, Moore ran it in from the 4 less than a minute later to reduce Morgan State's deficit to 36-30. South Carolina State recovered the onside kick and ran a pair of plays allowing time to expire. Smith ran for 110 yards on 18 carries for the Bulldogs. Jordan Smith caught four passes for 107 yards.   New Mexico Football   Jack Layne threw three touchdown passes, D.J. McKinney scored the winning touchdown with 3 minutes to go, and New Mexico defeated UNLV 40-35 on Saturday. The Lobos (6-3, 3-2 Mountain West) saw leads of 21-0 in the first half and 34-21 in the third quarter disappear before McKinney scored the go-ahead touchdown with 3 minutes remaining. UNLV took a 35-34 lead with 6 1/2 minutes left in the game when Anthony Colandrea hit Nick Elksnis with a 14-yard touchdown pass, but the Lobos drove 75 yards in eight plays for McKinney's big touchdown.

Layne completed 17 of 22 passes for 342 yards and his QB rating was 243.8. James Laubstein was 2-of-3 passing for 29 yards and added 99 yards rushing. Keagan Johnson had 158 yards receiving and Damon Bankston had 122. Colandrea threw for 382 yards on 36-for-46 passing with three touchdowns for the Rebels (6-2, 2-2). Layne and Laubstein each threw early touchdown passes, and Layne had an 84-yard TD pass to Bankston for a 21-0 lead in the second quarter. UNLV then rallied behind a Colandrea touchdown pass, a Keyvone Lee TD run and a 25-yard pick-6 by Quandarius Keyes. New Mexico went back ahead on another long pass by Layne, this one an 80-yard touchdown connection with Johnson, and the Lobos led 31-21 at halftime.   Montana Football   Keali'i Ah Yat threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score, and undefeated Montana won for the first time at Weber State since 2012 with a 38-17 victory on Saturday. Montana (9-0, 5-0 Big Sky Conference), ranked third in the FCS coaches' poll, scored 21 first-quarter points and led 31-10 at halftime on the way to snapping a three-game losing skid against Weber State (3-6, 1-4).

Montana's Brooks Davis broke loose on a 12-yard touchdown run on the game's third play from scrimmage. Ah Yat hit a wide-open Blake Bohannon near midfield for a 62-yard touchdown, and then bullied in from the 2 to make it 21-3 at the end of the first quarter. Ah Yat finished 15-of-27 passing for 296 yards. Bohannon had three catches for 131 yards. Eli Gillman ran for 62 yards with a 14-yard touchdown in the first half for the Grizzlies and surpassed 3,000 career yards rushing. He finished with 122 yards on 12 carries. Kingston Tisdell and Dijon Jennings combined for 25-of-42 passing for 213 yards with two touchdown passes and an interception for Weber State, which entered having won five of the last six games against Montana. Jayleen Record had eight catches for 107 yards and two touchdowns for the Wildcats. - AP College Football

  Tennessee Martin Football   Jase Bauer connected with Bryce Bailey for a 6-yard touchdown on the first possession of overtime and Keyshawn Johnson sealed the game with a fourth-down stop to give UT Martin a 27-20 victory over Eastern Illinois on Saturday. Bauer also ran for a 1-yard touchdown with 46 seconds left in regulation to tie it at 20-all following a seven-play, 43-yard drive. He had a completion for a first down on third-and-4 in overtime.

Johnson went unblocked up the middle to stuff Cole LaCrue's quarterback sneak on fourth-and-1 to end the game. Bauer was 22 of 29 for 172 yards with two touchdowns for UT Martin (4-5, 4-1 OVC-Big South). LaCrue threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns, and he led Eastern Illinois (3-6, 2-4) with 42 yards rushing. Backup Connor Wolf completed all five of his passes, including a 25-yard touchdown to Landers Green early in the fourth quarter. - AP College Football

  Alabama State Football   Marcus Harris II had two rushing touchdowns, Jamarie Hostzclaw ran for 127 yards, and Deontre Morris had two interceptions in a 31-28 win for Alabama State over Prairie View A&M on Saturday. Prairie View's Cameron Peters had 106 rushing yards, and threw for 189 yards and three passing touchdowns, but was intercepted four times over the span of five drives between the second and third quarters. Two of those drives turned into a field goal and a second touchdown from Harris, which made it 24 unanswered points for the Hornets (6-2, 4-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Detrick Jones and Drake Johnson also had interceptions.

The Panthers (6-3, 4-1 SWAC) had an opportunity to tie the game on the final drive, but Denzel Johnson tackled Rodny Ojo in the backfield for a loss of 5. It set up a 53-yard missed field goal by Diego Alfaro. Chase Bingmon led the Panthers with 118 rushing yards and a touchdown. Alabama State quarterback Andrew Body suffered an injury to his right arm after extending the ball over the goal line for his second rushing touchdown of the day with 5:50 left in the first half. He was seen wearing a sling on the sideline and replaced by Te'Sean Smoot. - AP College Football

  TCU Football   Jaden Craig threw four touchdown passes in setting a Harvard record and the Crimson beat Dartmouth 31-10 on Saturday to remain undefeated. Craig has a school-record 43 career TD throws, surpassing Neil Rose's 41 reached in 2003. Harvard, ranked No. 15 in the FCS coaches' poll, became the first school to win 300 Ivy League games. The Crimson are 7-0 (4-0 Ivy) for the first time since since 2015. Harvard built a 17-0 halftime lead on Craig's 14-yard score to Seamus Gilmartin, a 74-yard connection to Brady Blackburn and Kieran Coor's 38-yard field goal.

The Big Green (5-2, 2-2) rallied behind Grayson Saunier's 1-yard run and Owen Zalc's 46-yard field goal in the third quarter. Craig's third TD pass, a 14-yarder to Logan Reaska, restored a 14-point cushion early in the fourth quarter. One play after Dartmouth turned the ball over on downs at its own 34, Craig and Gilmartin connected again for the final points. Craig finished 21-of-32 for 322 yards. He was intercepted twice. Blackburn had 116 yards receiving and Gilmartin 70. Saunier was 18-of-32 for 200 yards passing. - AP College Football

  Texas-El Paso Football   EJ Colson threw three first-half touchdown passes and Incarnate Word held on for a 24-17 victory over Lamar on Saturday. Colson had a 1-yard touchdown toss to Jalen Walthall at the end of a 14-play drive for a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter and Incarnate Word's Cardinals (3-6, 1-4) never trailed in dealing Lamar's Cardinals (7-2, 4-1) their first Southland Conference defeat while ending their seven-game win streak. Colson connected with Jackson Lowe for an 8-yard touchdown at the 6:48 mark of the second, before hitting Josh Lorick for a 45-yard score with 38 seconds left to give Incarnate Word a 21-3 lead at halftime. The advantage was 24-3 after Will Faris' 39-yard field goal was the lone score in the third quarter. Joshua Robinson capped a 10-play drive with a 1-yard touchdown run early in the final period. Robert Coleman threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Jaydn Girard with 70 seconds left to set the final margin. Colson totaled 161 yards on 21-for-28 passing. Lorick had eight catches for 90 yards.   Tennessee Tech Football   Zolten Osborne threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score to help Charleston Southern hold off Southeast Missouri State 23-17 on Saturday. In the second quarter, Osborne ran for a 4-yard touchdown and threw a 14-yard TD pass to Rashawn Cunningham as Charleston Southern built a 20-3 halftime lead. Cole Ruble's 1-yard touchdown burst pulled Southeast Missouri State to 20-10 early in the third quarter, and Jax Leatherwood's 40-yard TD pass to Cam Pedro made it 20-17 early in the fourth.

The Buccaneers' Zach Gordon kicked his third field goal of the game, a 25-yarder with 2:54 to play. Leatherwood then drove the Redhawks near midfield on their final drive but he threw an incomplete pass on fourth-and-10 with 2:02 remaining. Osborne completed 17 of 35 passes for 302 yards for Charleston Southern (4-6, 3-3 OVC-Big South). Jamil Bishop caught four passes for 99 yards, and Cunningham caught four for 70 yards.   Indiana State Football   Rashad Rochelle caught four passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns and tacked on a 95-yard kick-return score as Indiana State pulled off an improbable upset of South Dakota State, 24-12 on Saturday. It's the first-ever win against a top-five opponent for the Sycamores (3-6, 1-4 Missouri Valley Conference), as SDSU entered the matchup fifth in the FCS coaches' poll. Indiana State last defeated SDSU on Oct. 1, 2011, 38-28.

Indiana State trailed for just 14 seconds of game time, as Rochelle's 95-yard return gave them a 7-3 lead after the Jackrabbits opened the game with a 44-yard field goal. Kimal Clark (15 total tackles, 1 sack) and Nic Yatsko (14 total tackles, 1 forced fumble) were dominant in the secondary for the Sycamores, who allowed 226 passing yards and held the Jackrabbits (7-2, 3-2) to just one touchdown. Keegan Patterson was 15-for-25 passing for 188 yards and two touchdowns, matching career-highs in touchdowns and completions. After a 33-game home winning streak, the fourth-longest in FCS history, SDSU has dropped two straight at home. Indiana State snapped a six-game skid after facing five FCS ranked teams and current FBS No. 2 Indiana. - AP College Football

  Oregon State Football   Braden Atkinson threw for 426 yards, including four touchdowns, and Mercer defeated Furman 52-28 on Saturday. The Bears have won a school-record seven consecutive games and are 6-0 in conference play for the first time in the 51-plus seasons of the program. Atkinson's touchdowns went to four receivers. Adonis McDaniel caught seven passes for 139 yards. His touchdown went for 37 yards and the game's final score early in the fourth quarter. Adjatay Dabbs had six receptions for 117 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown.

CJ Miller added 111 yards rushing, scoring twice, for the Bears (7-1, 6-0 Southern Conference). Furman (5-4, 3-3) cashed in on a number of big plays, including Caleb Easterling's 100-yard kickoff return to open the second half. The Paladins were outgained 628-227 total yards, the bulk of their offense coming on a 67-yard touchdown run by CJ Nettles and a 64-yard touchdown pass from Trey Hedden to Ja'Keith Hamilton.   Richmond Football   Kyle Wickersham threw and ran for a touchdown and Richmond held off Fordham for a 17-14 victory on Saturday. Wickersham was 23-of-35 passing for 193 yards, and his 5-yard touchdown pass to Ja'Vion Griffin opened the scoring early in the first quarter. Wickersham's 4-yard TD run stretched Richmond's lead to 17-7 late in the third. Wickersham finished with 44 yards rushing on 10 carries. Aziz Foster-Powell ran 15 times for 62 yards for Richmond (5-4, 2/3 Patriot League).

Jack Kaiser's 4-yard touchdown run capped a 10-play, 69-yard drive that pulled Fordham to 17-14 with 12:51 left. With about two minutes left, Ned Gray's 31-yard punt and a holding penalty pinned the Rams at their 8-yard line, and Lee Bruner IV picked off a Gunnar Smith pass four plays later to seal it for the Spiders. Smith completed 19 of36 passes for 91 yards and threw a touchdown pass and two interceptions for Fordham (1-8, 1-4).   Illinois Football   Katin Houser threw two touchdown passes and East Carolina scored the final 31 points in a 45-14 romp over Temple on Saturday. Houser tossed a 7-yard touchdown pass to Yannick Smith on the seventh play from scrimmage for a 7-0 lead. Ja'Marley Riddle picked off Evan Simon three plays after Pooh Lawton intercepted a Houser pass, and Anthony Smith scored on a first-play 45-yard run to put East Carolina (5-3, 3-1 American Athletic Conference) up 14-0. Jamere Jones forced and recovered a fumble by TJ Engleman Jr. to give Temple (5-4, 3-2) the ball on the East Carolina 27-yard line. Jay Ducker scored on a 4-yard run four plays later to cut it to 14-7 after one quarter.

Keveun Mason scored on a 29-yard run early in the second quarter to tie it, but Mike Wright Jr. scored on a 15-yard run and Houser and Yannick Smith teamed up for a 59-yard score and a 28-14 halftime advantage. London Montgomery ran 19 yards for a score and Marlon Gunn Jr. ran it in from a yard out for a 42-14 lead heading to the final quarter. The Pirates finished with 358 yards on 51 rushes with 11 different players contributing. Montgomery led the way with 84 yards on 14 totes. Nick Mazzie's 46-yard field goal capped the scoring. Houser completed 19 of 24 passes for 256 yards with an interception. Simon had 80 yards and a pick on 11-for-20 passing for the Owls.   Saint Thomas Football   Andy Peters accounted for five touchdowns - two through the air and three on the ground - and St. Thomas-Minnesota rolled to a 45-0 victory over Marist on Saturday. St. Thomas-Minnesota (6-3, 4-2 Pioneer Football League) linebacker Ryan Sever stuffed Tristan Shannon for no gain on a fourth-and-1 run at the Marist 38-yard line on the game's opening possession and it was all downhill for the Red Foxes (3-6, 1-4) from there. Peters fired a touchdown pass to Quentin Cobb-Butler on the next play to put the Tommies ahead.

Elliot Huether's punt bounced off Marist's Trevion Adcox and Mitchell Schares recovered at the Red Foxes' 16-yard line. Five plays later Peters ran it in from a yard out and Gabriel Abel added a two-point run for a 15-0 advantage after one quarter. The Tommies turned interceptions by Nick Hand and Rod Finley in the second quarter into 1-yard touchdown runs by Peters. Peters followed with a 7-yard touchdown pass to Luke Schuler for a 35-0 lead at halftime. Peters completed 14 of 19 passes for 248 yards and carried 13 times for 28. Cobb-Butler finished with five receptions for 125 yards. Will O'Dell had 101 yards on 14-for-24 passing with three interceptions for Marist. - AP College Football

  Wagner Football   Nicholas Romero made a game-winning 28-yard field goal on the final play to give Wagner a 23-20 victory over winless Saint Francis on Saturday. Wagner went ahead 20-17 with 6:57 left in the fourth quarter on an 8-yard run by Andre Hines Jr. But Saint Francis answered with an eight-play drive that took nearly five minutes off the clock, ending in a 21-yard field goal by Mac Plummer.

Malik Cooper started the game-winning drive with a 19-yard rush and Matt Morad added a 30-yard run to get to the SFU 14-yard line. Romero's teammates lifted him on their shoulders after his third field goal of the game. Wagner (3-6, 2-2 Northeast Conference) forced four turnovers in a game for the first time since a 28-7 victory over Stonehill on Oct. 5, 2024. Jayden Brown highlighted the defensive effort with a 25-yard pick-6. The Seahawks were outgained 336-180 in the win. Saint Francis (0-8, 0-4) was led by Jordan Theodore's 121 yards rushing on 24 carries. The Red Flash have lost nine straight dating to last season. - AP College Football
