Davidson Football   Mason Sheron racked up 107 all-purpose yards and one touchdown, Langston Green caught his only pass for Davidson's other score, and the Wildcatts pulled off the upset against Presbyterian, defeating the Blue Hose 14-13 on Saturday. Both touchdowns came in the first quarter for the Wildcats (2-8, 1-5 Pioneer), and a missed extra point in the third quarter by Presbyterian (8-2, 4-2), ranked 23rd in the FCS Coaches Poll, proved to be the difference. Dominic Njoku intercepted Ty Engelhart's third-down pass with 2:13 to go to effectively end the game and a fourth-and-1 conversion by Brodey Berg sealed the victory.

Coulter Cleland completed 9 of his 17 passes for 97 yards with two touchdown passes. Davidson's defense held Presbyterian to 3-for-12 on third downs and 0-3 on fourth. For the Blue Hose, Justin Montgomery, Zach Switzer, and Ty Englehart combined for 222 rushing yards and two touchdowns. It was the first time hosting a ranked FCS opponent for the Wildcats, and their first win against a ranked team since taking down No. 25 San Diego in 2021. With the win, the Wildcats take a 6-5 edge in the historical series and stretch their win streak against Presbyterian to five. - AP College Football

Army Football   Cale Hellums ran for 118 yards and a touchdown as the quarterback helped Army dominate the clock for a 14-13 win over Temple on Saturday. The Black Knights (5-4, 3-3 American Athletic Conference) kept the ball 15 more minutes than the Owls (5-5, 3-3). Temple punted the ball away with 9:53 left in the game and never got another snap as Army ran 18 plays to run out the clock. The drive started on the Army 42. The Black Knights converted a fourth-and-1 on the Temple 35 and another from the 14. Army finished the day 4 of 5 on fourth downs, 7 of 14 on third. The Owls were ready to concede a touchdown but Hellums slid at the Temple 4, kept the ball for 3 yards on the next play and had a pair of kneel downs to wrap it up.

Army had an 11-play, 73-yard drive to take a 7-0 on a 7-yard run by Jake Rendina early in the second quarter. A field goal on the last play of the first half gave Temple a 10-7 lead but Hellums' 3-yard run capped a 14-play, 75-yard drive, taking up 8:21, to open the second half for Army's final points. The only other possession of the third quarter ended in a Temple field goal with 22 seconds left. Hellums was 1 of 3 for 26 yards.   11/08/25 - WR Makai Lemon, Jr/2026, USC + More +

USC Football   Makai Lemon had a touchdown catch and a scoring run while making 11 receptions for a career-high 161 yards, and No. 20 Southern California stayed in the College Football Playoff race with a 38-17 victory over Northwestern on Friday night. Jayden Maiava passed for 299 yards and hit Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane for TDs as the Trojans (7-2, 5-1 Big Ten) remained unbeaten at the Coliseum this season with a persistent offensive performance featuring 482 total yards. That's the most allowed all season by the stingy Northwestern defense, which also hadn't allowed a 200-yard passer. King Miller rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown, and Maiava also rushed for a score. Lemon scored on a 4-yard jet sweep with 11:31 to play to put away back-to-back conference victories over Nebraska and Northwestern, keeping the Trojans in the national title conversation into mid-November for the first time since coach Lincoln Riley's first season in 2022. "We were excited about the challenge that this became," Riley said. "Flipping time zones, the tough battle in Lincoln just a few days ago, and then having to turn over and play a really good football team coming off a bye week. I just felt like these last two games would be a really important stretch for this season, and it's cool to see our guys respond." Preston Stone passed for 150 yards and Caleb Komolafe rushed for 118 yards and a score for the Wildcats (5-4, 3-3), who lost for just the second time in six games.

Griffin Wilde caught an early TD pass for Northwestern, which has never beaten USC in six meetings - the most recent in the 1996 Rose Bowl. USC got another spectacular performance from its impressive receiver duo. While the prolific Lemon put up 165 total yards, Lane had seven catches for 74 yards - and he put the Trojans up 28-14 midway through the third quarter when he juggled and controlled a one-handed TD catch under tight coverage from Fred Davis. "Whenever the ball is in the air, I just try to make the most out of the opportunity, because they don't come often," Lane said. After struggling to mount drives of significance while holding off Nebraska last week, USC opened its first home game in nearly a month with a 16-play drive culminating in Lemon's seventh TD catch of the season. Maiava had nine completions on the drive - the same number he managed all night in Lincoln. "I mean, we knew Nebraska was an outlier in their passing game," Wildcats coach David Braun said. "Nebraska had done a great job against USC, but you knew USC was going to find a way to respond. They're talented. Talented wide receivers. Quarterback plays at a very high level. Coach Riley is a great coach. And ultimately, we ended up playing on our heels most of the night." - USC/AP College Football

Tulane Football   Jake Retzlaff threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns and Tulane held off No. 22 Memphis 38-32 on Friday night to stay in contention for the Group of Five's spot in the College Football Playoff and dash the Tigers' hopes. Tulane (7-2, 4-1 American Athletic Conference) survived a furious fourth-quarter comeback attempt as the Tigers fought back from a 21-point third-quarter deficit. Memphis (8-2, 4-2) was unable to convert on fourth-and-8 from the Tulane 35 with two minutes remaining, ending its chances along with its 11-game home winning streak. "I'm so proud of our guys for their resiliency," said Tulane coach Jon Sumrall. "It was so cool to see how our guys responded (after last week's loss at Texas-San Antonio). Bad things are going to happen sometimes. You just have to keep showing up."

Brendon Lewis passed for 317 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers. Cortez Braham Jr. caught 11 passes for 113 yards. The Green Wave scored on their first play from scrimmage - a 65-yard pass from Retzlaff to Shazz Preston - and found the end zone on four of their next five possessions in the opening half. At the half, Retzlaff had completed 14 of 15 passes for 284 yards and three touchdowns. Preston had three catches for 85 yards and two scores. "I thought Jake played his tail off (in the first half)," Sumrall said. The Green Wave had 364 yards at the half, but were held to 93 in the second half. Despite the effort from the Memphis defense, it wasn't enough. "Clearly, we didn't to play to our standard in the first half," Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield said. "We gave up too many (explosive) plays. And, offensively, we had too many self-inflicted wounds. It's unlike us. Our guys will learn from this." - Tulane/AP College Football

TCU Football   Xaviah Bascon ran for two touchdowns, Seamus Gilmartin caught two touchdown passes from Jaden Craig, and Harvard rolled past Columbia 31-14 on Friday. Bascon opened the scoring with a 1-yard rush to cap a 10-play, 80-yard scoring drive for the Crimson (8-1, 5-0 Ivy League). He added his second with 11 seconds left in the first half. Craig found Gilmartin twice for scores in the second quarter. The first came following an interception by Columbia's Chase Goodwin that Jack Donahoe secured and returned to the Columbia 2-yard line. After a missed field goal on the opening drive for the Lions (1-7, 0-5), every drive ended in either a punt, an interception, or the end of the half. Their first points came at the start of the fourth quarter on a touchdown pass from Goodwin to Titus Evans.   New Mexico State Football   James Jones ran for 115 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries as Delaware State weathered a Morgan State comeback attempt to win 14-12 on Friday night. Jones scored less than a minute into the first quarter on a 68-yard rush that gave the Hornets (7-3, 3-0 MEAC) a 7-0 lead. Jones came close to another six seconds into the second quarter, but fumbled at the goal-line. The ball was recovered by freshman offensive lineman Amori Francis for his first career touchdown.

Randall Nauden, who ran for 104 total yards on just seven carries, had a 67-yard rushing score for the Bears (3-7, 0-3) to get his team within two points early in the fourth quarter, but the two-point attempt was no good. After connecting on 19-and 37-yard field goals in the game, Alex Amaya's attempt from 45 yards as time expired sailed wide to leave the comeback effort just short. Morgan State leads the historical series, 10-4. Delaware State had not won since a 33-30 win on Nov. 11, 2017. - AP College Football
