Texas Tech Football   Linebacker Jacob Rodriguez struck the Heisman Trophy pose again after the first offensive touchdown of his career, Reggie Virgil scored three times and No. 8 Texas Tech routed UCF 48-9 on Saturday. The Red Raiders (10-1, 7-1 Big 12, No. 6 CFP) stayed on track for a shot at their first Big 12 championship in their regular-season home finale, reaching 10 victories for the first time since going 11-2 under the late Mike Leach in 2008. The Golden Knights (4-6, 1-6) didn't pick up a first down until they trailed 21-0 and dropped to 0-4 on the road, getting outscored 78-12 combined in the past two, a pair of trips to Texas. UCF had a season-low 52 yards rushing against the nation's No. 1 run defense. "The question was how were we going to handle success after last week," said coach Joey McGuire, referring to a 29-7 victory over BYU in a top-10 matchup. "I've got these old guys. It's a vet team. They believe in each other. They care about each other. I'm really proud of the way they played." Just as he did after a highlight-reel interception against the Cougars, Rodriguez lifted one leg and extended an arm while surrounded by teammates after the former high school quarterback scored on a 2-yard run in the wildcat. "Everybody's talking about quarterbacks for Heisman," McGuire said, "so we put him at quarterback today, he scored a touchdown." Rodriguez, who scored touchdowns on fumble recoveries this season and last against Oklahoma State, set up Vigil's third TD for a 35-2 lead with his fourth interception this season.

No need for another Heisman pose, though, after the TD. "We repped it throughout the week, and it looked good," Rodriguez said. "Obviously, we were going on scout team. When they said (as we) got closer to the goal line, "Be ready," so I ran over there from the other side of the sideline and I was ready to go." Virgil's first two scores came on the first two carries of his career in the second quarter, a 5-yarder early and a 30-yard sprint that ended with him hopping and skipping into the end zone. Cameron Dickey also had two rushing TDs. Behren Morton threw for 149 yards and the 8-yard score to Virgil before getting replaced by Mitch Griffis late in the first half. Morton is playing through a leg injury, and original backup Will Hammond is out for the season with a knee injury. UCF's first points came on a safety when Texas Tech left tackle Howard Sampson was called for holding in the end zone. - Texas Tech/AP College Football

Virginia Football   Chandler Morris passed for 316 yards and two touchdowns, J'Mari Taylor ran for 133 yards and two scores on 18 carries, and No. 20 Virginia kept its conference title hopes intact with a 34-17 victory over Duke on Saturday. Morris, who left last week's loss to Wake Forest following a hit to the head, went 23 of 35 through the air for the Cavaliers, who piled up 540 total yards. He also threw two interceptions, including one that Duke linebacker Tre Freeman returned 18 yards for a touchdown. Trell Harris paced Virginia (9-2, 6-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) with eight catches for 161 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown that made it 20-3 in the third quarter.

Duke reached the Virginia 8-yard line on its next possession, but Darian Mensah was sacked on fourth down by Mitchell Melton. Three players later, Taylor sprinted for a 78-yard touchdown to put the game out of reach. Mensah finished with 213 yards and one touchdown on 18 of 35 passing as Duke (5-5, 4-2) dropped its second straight. Virginia started fast, marching 75 yards on 14 plays on the game's opening drive and scoring on Taylor's 3-yard run. Duke went the entire first quarter without a first down, totaling only 16 total yards. Todd Pelino's 49-yard field goal got the Blue Devils on the scoreboard with 5:33 left in the second quarter. But the Cavaliers scored twice more before halftime, including a 12-yard pass from Morris to Sage Ennis, to extend the lead to 17-3. - Virginia/AP College Football

Illinois State Football   Tommy Rittenhouse threw three touchdown passes to Daniel Sobkowicz and ran for another as Illinois State scored 28 points in the first quarter and went on to a 35-21 win over South Dakota State on Saturday. Rittenhouse threw 10- and 2-yard touchdown passes to Sobkowicz sandwiched around a 5-yard pick-6 by Patrick Bauer and Rittenhouse added a 2-yard TD run to cap the big first quarter. Rittenhouse and Sobkowicz connected for a 9-yard score and it was 35-0 before the Jackrabbits (7-4, 3-4 Missouri Valley Football Conference) scored twice in the final five minutes of the first half to trail 35-13.

Josiah Johnson's 2-yard TD run early in the fourth quarter got South Dakota State within 14 points but the Jackrabbits' final three drives ended on downs. Sobkowicz's three TD catches gave him a school-record 33 for his career, passing Tyrone Walker (32, 2009-12). Rittenhouse was 17 of 32 for 141 yards passing. Victor Dawson had 98 yards rushing on 20 carries. The Redbirds were outgained 321-263 but the Jackrabbits had three turnovers, all in the first half.   Miami Football   Carson Beck passed for 291 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to Malachi Toney, and No. 16 Miami - looking to climb in the College Football Playoff rankings - rolled past N.C. State 41-7 on Saturday. Beck completed his final 13 throws to cap off a 21-for-27 day for the Hurricanes (8-2, 4-2 Atlantic Coast Conference). Miami now has five wins by at least 25 points this season, the most in a single year by the Hurricanes since the 2002 team had six such victories.

Jakobe Thomas picked off two passes in the first quarter, running one of them back for a touchdown for Miami. And Girard Pringle Jr. more than doubled his season rushing total for the Hurricanes; he ran for 116 yards on Saturday, one more than he had in his first four games of the year. Miami took a 41-0 lead before substituting liberally in the fourth quarter on Senior Day, the last regular-season home game for the Hurricanes. Miami outgained N.C. State 581-149. CJ Bailey completed 17 of 30 passes for 120 yards for N.C. State (5-5, 2-4). The Wolfpack - with Miami playing reserves on defense at the time - got on the scoreboard on a rushing touchdown from Bailey with 2:18 left. That extended N.C. State's streak of not getting shut out to 144 games; its last time being blanked was Oct. 4, 2014. Gardner-Webb (7-4, 5-2 Big South/Ohio Valley Conference) reached seven wins for the second time in three seasons. Tennessee State (2-9, 0-7), one year after tying for the conference championship and playing in the FCS playoffs, secured last place in the standings.   11/15/25 - WR Makai Lemon, Jr/2026, USC + More +

USC Football   Makai Lemon made 10 catches for 153 yards and a second-half touchdown, and No. 17 Southern California scored 19 unanswered points to keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive with a 26-21 victory over Iowa on Saturday. Jayden Maiava passed for 254 yards and Bryan Jackson rushed for two touchdowns for the Trojans (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten, No. 17 CFP), who faced their largest deficit of the season when they trailed 21-7 late in the second quarter at a rain-soaked Coliseum. USC mounted five consecutive scoring drives, capped by Jackson's go-ahead TD run with 13:36 to play. Mark Gronowski threw a touchdown pass, made a TD run and caught a scoring pass during the first half, but his Hawkeyes (6-4, 4-3, No. 21 CFP) got shut out in the second half of another heartbreaking loss to a ranked team. Iowa finally mounted a decent drive in the closing minutes, but turned it over on downs at the USC 29 with 1:59 to play. The Trojans were able to run out the clock after an Iowa assistant coach was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct with 1:25 left.

Steady rain had been falling on Los Angeles for more than 24 hours before kickoff, and it didn't stop during the wettest USC home game in recent memory. The Hawkeyes appeared to handle it better early on, with receiver Reece Vander Zee's 5-yard TD pass to Gronowski on a picture-perfect version of the Philly Special highlighting a strong first half. USC persevered and won thanks to another phenomenal game from star receivers Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane, who had seven catches for 65 yards. Shrugging off the rain, run-first Iowa surprisingly threw the ball five times on its opening drive, capped by Dayton Howard's 2-yard TD catch from a scrambling Gronowski on fourth down. After USC failed to score in the first quarter at home for the first time all season, Gronowski rushed for a score early in the second. Jackson's 1-yard TD on a direct snap got USC on the board. Iowa then made another strong drive capped by the TD catch by Gronowski. He has caught a pass in all five seasons of his college football career, which began at South Dakota State. After Lemon's 12-yard TD catch, USC's Jahkeem Stewart intercepted a deflected pass in Iowa territory, leading to Jackson's second score. - USC/AP College Football
