The Tribe opened the scoring with holder Joey Tomasso running in from 5 yards out on a fake field goal. Josh Miller, Stephon Hicks and Xavier Dillard then blocked punts that resulted in safeties. Pavia threw for a career-high 377 yards (and three touchdowns including the game winner in OT) and had 112 rushing yards (and one touchdown). He became the first Vanderbilt player to register 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing in a game. The win moves Vanderbilt to 8-2, which is the first time registering eight wins in a season since 2013.
