SMU linebacker Richard Moore announced he'll return to SMU for a final season. The Cedar Hill native was granted a sixth year of eligibility after missing the final 10 games of last season with an injury. Moore was SMU's top tackler in 2018, starting all 12 games for the Mustangs. That year he recorded 13.5 tackles for a loss and 92 tackles overall. He sat out the 2017 season after two seasons at Texas A&M, where he played in 19 games. Head coach Sonny Dykes said on Feb. 5 that the school was still in the process of putting together a waiver application for the NCAA to grant him a sixth year. Last season, after he went down, Richard McBryde took over his spot in the middle of SMU's defense. McBryde, an Auburn transfer, was also recently granted a sixth year of eligibility. - Dallas Morning News
