  Draft Scout by Conference

Colby Parkinson continued Stanford's legacy of producing tight ends for the NFL when the Seahawks drafted him in the fourth round on Saturday. Selected at No. 133 overall, Parkinson is the eighth Cardinal tight end drafted since 2010, the most for any school during in that span. The last Stanford alum to be picked by the Seahawks was Richard Sherman in the fifth round in 2011. "Colby Parkinson is a size and athletic mismatch," Stanford head coach David Shaw said in a news release. "He makes big plays down the field and in the red zone. He will be a great addition in Brian Schottenheimer's offense and a great weapon for Russell Wilson!" The Simi Valley native was a two-time All-Pac-12 selection and a John Mackey Award semifinalist as a junior. In three seasons with the Cardinal, Parkinson caught 87 passes for 1,171 yards and 12 touchdowns. - San Francisco Chronicle
