  Draft Scout by Conference

When the NFL draft gets underway Thursday night, Arizona State wide receiver and kick return specialist Brandon Aiyuk could be the first player with local ties to hear his name called. Aiyuk is projected to be a late-first or early-second round selection. He was one of four Sun Devils that went to the NFL combine in Indianapolis in February, with the others being running back Eno Benjamin, center Cohl Cabral and punter MIchael Turk. The University of Arizona has two prospects who could hear their names called, most likely on the final day in quarterback Khalil Tate and running back J.J. Taylor.

Another player to look for is junior offensive tackle Austin Jackson out of USC and North Canyon High School, who is slotted as a first-round selection in most projections. While the rite of spring is taking place much of the lead up has been different. There were few private workouts before the mass shutdown due to the coronavirus. Many colleges canceled their pro days during which NFL scouts traverse the country, getting a first-hand look at prospects taking part in a number of drills. ASU and Arizona were among the schools that had to cancel that event. - Arizona Republic
