TCU quarterback Max Duggan, who was sacked four times in the first half and hounded all game, connected with Quentin Johnston for a 31-yard touchdown over broken coverage in the fourth quarter. The TCU defense turned in its best game of the season. The Horned Frog s held Texas running back Bijan Robinson to 29 yards, gave up just 199 total yards, and forced Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers into a miserable passing night. Jordan Travis threw for three touchdowns, caught a scoring pass and ran for another score, and No. 25 Florida State beat reeling Syracuse 38-3 on Saturday night, the Orange's fourth straight loss. It was the last conference game for Florida State (7-3, 5 -3 Atlantic Coast Conference), which has won three straight since a midseason skid. The Orange (6-4. 3-3) lost their second straight at home and it was ugly. The Orange notched just nine first downs to 25 for FSU, were 1 of 11 on third-down conversion at tempts, and were outgained 420-160, and the defense was on the field for more than 36 minutes for the third straight game. Florida State entered the game leading the country with 69 plays of 20-plus yards and quickly tacked on another when`Trey Benson bo lted around the left side for 27 on the Seminoles' first possession. Five plays later, Travis scored on a 3-yard run up the middle for a 7-0 lead. Florida State has scored on 13 of 19 first drives of a half this season, with 12 touchdowns.Travis, who was 21-of-23 passing for 155 yards, hit Malik McClain for a 15-yard touchdown late in the first for a 14-0 lead as the Orange struggled offensively despite the return of quarterback Garrett Shrader, who had missed six straight quarters with an undisc losed injury. Shrader finished 6 of 17 for 65 yards with one interception and rushed for minus-2 yards on 10 carries. Syracuse's first three possessions were three-and-outs, and even when the defense snared a turnover the offense failed to capitalze. Tra vis lost a fumble when he was sacked by linebacker Derek McDonald early in the second and Justin Barron recovered for the Orange at the FSU 23. Syracuse then lost 12 yards on the next three plays and Andre Szmyt missed a 53-yard field goal, just his thir d miss in 18 attempts this season and first miss in three tries from 50 yards or longer. The Seminoles struck again late in the second quarter when Travis hit Johnny Wilson for a 24-yard touchdown. Wilson shed a tackle attempt by defensive back Duce Ches tnut along the right side and scooted into the end zone with 5:47 left for a 21-3 lead. - Florida State/AP College Football

DJ Uiagalelei threw for a touchdown and ran for another and Will Shipley hurdled Louisville's M.J. Griffin on the way for a 25-yard score as No. 12 Clemson won its 39th straight at home, 31-16 over the Cardinals on Saturday night. The Tigers (9-1, 7-0 At lantic Coast Conference) had wrapped up the ACC Atlantic Division - and its spot in the league title game next month - a week ago before their demoralizing, 35-14 loss at No. 20 Notre Dame. But Uiagalelei and the Clemson defense got back on track to impr ove to 8-0 all-time over Louisville (6-4, 3-4). The Cardinals, who came in with a four-game win streak, played the second half without standout quarterback Malik Cunningham, who was hurt on the last play of the second quarter.Uiagalelei completed 19 of 27 throws for 185 yards. Phil Mafah ran for 106 yards and Shipley 97 as the Tigers finished with 248 yards on the ground. Clemson needed a fast start and got it. Uiagalelei led a 12-play, 75-yard scoring march on the opening drive that he ended wit h a nifty 11-yard run as the Tigers built a 10-0 lead. Uiagalelei's 4-yard pass to freshman Antonio Williams with 32 seconds left before the half sent Clemson into the break up 17-7. Williams had a career best 10 catches for 83 yards. Louisville was held to 160 yards in the first half - and 61 came in the final half minute as the Cardinals moved to the Clemson 14 before the clock ran out. Cunningham looked like he had the speed and a path to the end zone on the half's final play, but he stumbled cutting across the field and fell. Trainers came out as the team headed to the locker room and Cunningham spent a few minutes on the field before joining them. Cunningham did not return due to a shoulder injury as Brock Domann took over at quarterback. - Clemso n/AP College Football

Braden Lenzy reached around a defender with both arms to make a spectacular touchdown catch, one of four TD passes by Drew Pyne before halftime in No. 20 Notre Dame's 35-32 win over Navy on Saturday. Pyne also ran for a touchdown in the first half, and N otre Dame (7-3) blocked a punt for a fifth straight game. Lenzy's catch, however, was the most impressive highlight. Navy's Mbiti Williams Jr. was positioned between Lenzy and the ball on Pyne's deep pass to the goal line, but Lenzy reached around with b oth hands and controlled the ball, appearing to pin it against Williams' back. Then he pulled it around the cornerback with his right hand to complete the catch. The 38-yard touchdown put the Irish ahead 14-0. They led 35-13 at halftime before going dorm ant offensively for the final two quarters. Navy closed to within three with 1:21 remaining, but an unsuccessful onside kick ended the rally.Navy (3-7) had the ball down 21-13 in the second quarter, but an interception on a trick play gave the Iri sh possession at the Navy 41. Pyne ran for an 11-yard touchdown moments later, and then the blocked punt by Jack Kiser - Notre Dame's seventh of the season - set up Pyne's 37-yard TD toss to Jayden Thomas. Pyne went 17 of 21 for 269 yards with an interce ption. He opened the scoring with a 30-yard touchdown strike to Audric Estime. After Lenzy's catch, Navy responded with Daba Fofana's 36-yard scoring run. Pyne threw a 5-yard TD pass to Chris Tyree, and then the Midshipmen scored on a 2-yard run by Xavie r Arline that made it 21-13. Arline threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Mark Walker in the fourth, and a 2-point conversion made it 35-24. Then Maasai Maynor's 20-yard TD pass to Maquel Haywood late in the fourth, along with another 2-point conversion, cut the lead to a field goal. - Notre Dame/AP College Football
