11/27/20 - C Landon Dickerson, rSr/2021, Alabama + More +   Landon Dickerson on Tuesday became the second Alabama offensive lineman to accept an invitation to the 2021 Reese's Senior Bowl. Dickerson joins teammate Deonte Brown as confirmed for the Senior Bowl, the annual NFL draft showcase that takes place Jan. 30 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile. Game officials made the announcement via Twitter. Dickerson (6-foot-6, 325 pounds) has started 20 games the last two seasons for the Crimson Tide, 16 at center and four at guard. The sophomore tight end nearly had as many dropped passes (four) than receptions (five) in the first three games of the season. But All has gone two games since without a drop and has six catches during that span, including four for 27 yards in Saturday's 48-42 triple-overtime victory over Rutgers. "Obviously, it was irritating dropping the ball," All told reporters Monday. "I don't even know why I was dropping it, but it was irritating because I knew how good of hands I had. I just felt like I just needed to trust myself, and once I found that trust in the Rutgers game, I felt confident. I felt like a new person took over me. I just felt like I had a different energy and it just made me a better player for this team." On Nov. 11, tight ends coach Sherrone Moore said All was making "spectacular" catches regularly during practice but felt the former four-star prospect from Ohio was overthinking during games. 11/26/20 - OLB Charles Snowden, Sr/2021, Virginia + More +   Virginia linebacker Charles Snowden will miss the rest of the season with a broken right ankle. Snowden's father shared the news on social media Saturday night, and UVa head coach Bronco Mendenhall shared Monday that Snowden underwent surgery on the injury, knocking him out for the year. The recovery is expected to take about six months. Snowden could return next season for a final year with the Wahoos due to NCAA eligibility relief, but he may instead decide to turn pro and prepare for an NFL career. He'll make that decision in coming weeks and months. "Charles' influence on our program has been breathtaking in terms of maturity and growth, and in a lot of ways his own maturity and growth has matched that of the program," Mendenhall said. "He came in as tall and thin and a basketball player, and he's blossomed into a future NFL player with amazing leadership skills and a captain of our team in a four-year period." Snowden suffered the injury of the first quarter of Saturday's victory over Abilene Christian. He missed the rest of the game, returning to the sideline for the second half wearing a cast and using crutches. His loss removes an on-field leader and NFL-caliber linebacker. 11/26/20 - OG Tommy Kraemer, rSr/2021, Notre Dame + More +   An offensive line being trumpeted as the nation's best by many observers will have the quality of its depth tested this week. First reported by Irish Illustrated on Sunday morning, Notre Dame starting right guard Tommy Kraemer will join injured center Jarrett Patterson on the sideline after Kraemer reportedly underwent an emergency appendectomy on Friday night. Kraemer is a grad senior and fourth-year starter, moving inside to guard in 2018 after playing right tackle his sophomore season on the 2017 Joe Moore Award-winning Irish offensive line. The 6-foot-6, 317-pounder missed the final six games of the 2019 season with a knee injury suffered in a 45-14 loss at Michigan. 11/26/20 - RB Hassan Haskins, Sr/2022, Michigan + More +   The redshirt sophomore entered Saturday leading the team in rushing but received just one carry in Week 4 against Wisconsin. While the Wolverines' run game got off to a slow start against Rutgers, they remained committed to it and were rewarded in the second half. Instead of frequently rotating the backs like the in previous four games, Haskins handled the bulk of the load, finishing with 110 rushing yards and the game-winning touchdowns on 22 attempts. No other running back had more than six, although Blake Corum, Chris Evans and Zach Charbonnet each had at least one reception. Haskins has proven to be a receiving threat out of the backfield, which was probably the reason why he didn't see many snaps after Michigan fell behind early against Wisconsin, but he has clearly been the most effective runner of the quartet through the first five games. "His play, talk about heart," Harbaugh said. "The amount of runs that Hassan had that were yards after contact this game -- tough, efficient, outstanding runs. Just tremendous." 11/25/20 - TE Kyle Patterson, Sr/2023, Air Force + More +   Kyle Patterson chose Air Force knowing tight ends might not see the ball very often. In fact, that's kind of why he made the choice over offers from schools that included Alabama, Arizona and Washington. Blocking was that cool, he decided. "During high school that was usually what I would do," Patterson said. "Eighty percent of the time I was run blocking." Air Force is asking the sophomore to do a bit more than that. Through four games, Patterson leads the team with nine catches for 144 yards, and his touchdown at San Jose State remains the Falcons' lone touchdown reception. In his first Georgia start, Daniels led the Bulldogs to a 31-24 win over Mississippi State and put up some numbers that hadn't been posted by a Georgia QB in nearly a decade. The USC transfer and former five-star recruit finished 28 of 38 for 401 yards with four touchdown passes and no interceptions. Snowden's looked the most serious, as he appeared to injure his right ankle in the first quarter. He came onto the field in the second half, sitting on the sideline with crutches and what appeared to be a cast on his right lower leg. Defensive lineman Jowon Briggs entered the transfer portal earlier this week, leaving the defensive line especially thin with Richard Burney out for the season with health issues. Malani adds important depth along the line when healthy. Safeties Joey Blount and Brenton Nelson both missed Saturday's win as they attempt to recover from injuries plaguing them for most of the fall season. And Daniels taking a knee in the victory formation as Georgia improved to 5-2. The students chanted "JT, JT." "It's started to sink in a little bit but it really hasn't yet that I got to play football again," Daniels said on a postgame Zoom session with reporters, his first time speaking to the media as a Bulldog. 11/24/20 - QB Graham Mertz, rSr/2025, Florida + More +   After dealing with little to no on-the-field adversity while leading the University of Wisconsin football team to victories in his first two career starts, the redshirt freshman quarterback's inexperience showed Saturday afternoon against a terrific defense. Mertz turned the ball over four times - three interceptions and a fumble - in the No. 10 Badgers' 17-7 loss to No. 19 Northwestern at Ryan Field. It didn't help matters that Mertz didn't have his two best wide receivers on the field with him, and there was plenty of blame to go around on a UW offense that couldn't get out of its own way. But on a day when the Badgers needed their young star to be great, he instead took a step back. "I do believe what drives him is doing all he can for this team, and when you're not able to do that or do it enough, it's a growing situation," UW coach Paul Chryst said. "This one was painful for a lot of us, and we've got to learn from it. We've got to take away what you can from it and go forward. 11/24/20 - DE Malcolm Koonce, rSr/2021, Buffalo + More +   University at Buffalo senior defensive end Malcolm Koonce has accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl, it was announced on Friday. Koonce will be just the fourth player in program history to play in the prestigious all-star game. Koonce has a team-best four tackles for loss and three sacks through three games this season. He also ranks third on the team in tackles with 17. The Peekskill, NY native is coming off a breakout season for the Bulls. In 2019, he led the Mid-American Conference in sacks with nine and added 11 tackles for loss en route to earning All-MAC First Team honors.
