  WEEK 8 UNITED ATHLETIC CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Southern Utah's junior linebacker Mason Stromstad was a huge part of the Thunderbirds' win over nationally-ranked Abilene Christian. He racked up a team-best 11 total tackles in the game, including six solo stops. Stromstad forced a fumble and secured the game-sealing interception with just under a minute to go in the game. He also collected one TFL along with a half sack in his total. - United Athletic Conference Football
