  Carter Peevy threw for four touchdown passes and Maine beat Hampton 35-7 on Saturday. Peevy went 17 of 24 for 121 yards with no interceptions. His scoring throws went to Ty'ee Stephens, Rashawn Marshall, Eli Mahan and Scott Woods. Mahan's touchdown was his first of the season. Marshall added 49 rushing yards on 10 carries and scored once on the ground. The Black Bears (6-4, 5-1 Coastal Athletic Association) produced two extended touchdown drives that covered a combined 30 plays for 155 yards and nearly 16 minutes of clock.

Hampton (2-8, 0-6) scored on a 12-yard pass from Earl Woods III to Jah'Kei Chavis in the second quarter. Woods III finished 9 of 10 for 86 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. Donovan Shepard ran for 61 yards on three carries with a long of 42. The Pirates totaled 92 rushing yards and punted seven times.   Carter Peevy threw for 188 yards and two touchdowns, and added 51 rushing yards and a score as Maine defeated Stony Brook 28-21 on Saturday. The Black Bears (5-4, 4-1 Coastal Athletic Association) out-rushed Stony Brook 204-3 on the day, with Sincere Baines' 86 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries leading the way. Stony Brook (4-5, 2-3) scored on a Roland Dempster 1-yard dive with 40 seconds to go to bring them within one score, but Maine pounced on the onside kick and ran out the clock to secure the victory. Dempster found paydirt twice in the second half as the Seawolves tried to rally from a 21-point deficit. He notched 48 total yards for the afternoon. Maine's defense had five total sacks, with Latrell Couchman getting to Stony Brook quarterback Quinn Boyd twice. Ta'kai Chisolm, Elias Sherman, and Christian Thomas each tallied one sack.   WEEK 5 CAA FOOTBALL CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Carter Peevy, Gr., QB, Maine (Lawrenceville, Ga./Archer),...Peevy completed 20-of-27 passes (74.1%) for a season-high 298 yards and two touchdowns and added a TD on the ground as Maine defeated North Carolina A&T, 37-30. After scoring on a 2-yard run early in the contest, the grad student delivered an 81-yard TD throw late in the first half and a 6-yard strike in the third quarter that proved to be the difference in the game. - CAA Football

  Carter Peevy threw for 139 yards and a touchdown and Tommy Pollack ran for 111 yards and two scores, and Mercer beat NAIA-member Point University 69-0 on Thursday night in its season opener. The Bears' total points established a new program record. Mercer amassed a total of 778 yards with 539 coming on the ground. Mercer had 12 rushers finish with yardage from the line of scrimmage while nine players caught at least one pass. Peevy was 9-for-12 passing, Dylan Fromm came on in relief to throw 5 for 7 for 46 yards and a score, and Fred Payton went 4 for 6 for 54 yards and a touchdown. Peyton Allen threw for 58 yards with an interception for Point University, which had 99 yards of total offense.   Carter Peevy threw three touchdown passes, and Mercer snapped a four-game losing streak with a 42-28 victory over The Citadel on Saturday. Peevy threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to Drake Starks on Mercer's first play from scrimmage, and his 8-yard TD pass to Ethan Dirrim stretched the lead to 28-0 midway through the quarter. Peevy's 33-yard pass to Ty James with 8:36 remaining gave Mercer a 35-20 lead. Peevey was 10 of 17 for 208 yards for Mercer (1-4, 1-1 Southern Conference). Starks had three catches for 99 yards.
