2023 CAA FOOTBALL CHUCK BOONE LEADERSHIP AND EXCELLENCE AWARD: Max Brosmer, New Hampshire,...Brosmer was the recipient of the prestigious Chuck Boone Leadership and Excellence Award in 2023, an honor that embodies the highest standards of leadership, int egrity, teamwork and sportsmanship in academics and athletics. The New Hampshire quarterback earned first-team All-CAA accolades after leading the nation in passing and total offense this season, completing 294-of-459 passes for 3,464 yards and 29 touchd owns. Brosmer compiled a 3.88 GPA while earning an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science, and he's currently working on a master's Degree in Kinesiology. Max Brosmer connected with DJ Linkins for a 26-yard touchdown pass with 17 seconds remaining, lifting New Hampshire to a 31-28 victory over Rhode Island on Saturday. The win keeps the Wildcats (7-3, 6-1) tied for first place in the Colonial Athletic Asso ciation. Kasim Hill drove Rhode Island 68 yards in 10 plays for the go-ahead score in the middle of the fourth quarter. Hill's 15-yard pass to Ed Lee gave the Rams (6-4, 4-3) a 28-24 lead with 7:07 remaining.After an exchange of punts, Brosmer too k his turn at a go-ahead drive. The Wildcats went 89 yards in 10 plays with Brosmer connecting with Linkins near the left corner of the end zone. Brosmer completed 31 of 43 passes for 316 yards with two touchdowns. Hill was 17-of-33 passing for 222 yards , also with two touchdowns. No. 21 New Hampshire is tied for first place with No. 8 William & Mary and No. 12 Richmond. Max Brosmer passed for 220 yards and two touchdowns and added 49 yards on the ground with a score to help New Hampshire beat Elon 40-22 on Saturday. Brosmer's 42-yard rushing touchdown opened the scoring. Dylan Laube had one of three New Hampshire rushin g touchdowns, breaking free from 77 yards out midway through the fourth for a 25-point lead. Laube carried 22 times for 147 yards, reaching 100 yards for the third time this season. Barry Kleinpeter had the other TD on the ground. Joe Eichman made his te am-leading third interception of the season, all coming in the last three games for New Hampshire (6-2, 5-0 Colonial Athletic Association). Matthew McKay was 8 of 15 for 185 yards with two touchdowns and one interception for Elon (5-3, 3-2). Max Brosmer accounted for both of the game's touchdowns, the New Hampshire defense pitched a shutout and the Wildcats won the Granite Bowl, defeating Dartmouth 14-0 on Saturday. Brosmer hit Brian Espanet with a 2-yard touchdown pass early in the first qu arter and ran 8 yards for a score with 29 seconds left in the first half. He completed 20 of 29 passes for 217 yards. Isaac Seide added 127 yards rushing on 26 carries for New Hampshire (5-2). The Wildcats prevailed in a matchup of New Hampshire's FCS No . 25 run defense (115.8 yards per game) and Dartmouth's No. 11 rushing offense (228.2 ypg). Dartmouth managed 58 yards on the ground. Starting quarterback Dylan Cadwallader completed 8 of 20 passes for 86 yards. The Big Green (1-4) finished with a total of 198 yards. Max Brosmer threw three touchdown passes and Dylan Laube ran for 114 yards and New Hampshire was never threatened in a 37-14 win over Towson on Saturday. Laube also returned four punts for 125 yards with most of them coming on a 92-yarder for a touchdown . The play occurred with 35 seconds left before halftime for a 10-0 lead and New Hampshire never looked back. The Wildcats (3-1, 3-0 Colonial Athletic Association) built a 24-0 lead before Towson scored. Tyrrell Pigrome threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Robert Schwob for the Tigers' (2-2, 0-1) first score. Brosmer finished 17-for-23 passing for 194 yards completing passes to six different receivers. Pigrome threw for 142 yards for Towson. New Hampshire has a 7-3 all-time record against Towson with four consecutive wins against the Tigers, including last year's 26-14 victory at Wildcat Stadium. - AP College Football

Dylan Laube ran for 202 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries and New Hampshire held on to beat Albany 28-23 on Saturday night. Max Brosmer was 11-of-14 passing for 73 yards, including a 2-yard TD to Joey Corcoran that capped a 13-play, 88-yard drive that took 9-plus minutes off the clock and gave New Hampshire (2-0, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association) a the lead for good at 7-0 with 4:22 left in the first quarter.Laube scored his first touchdown, a 2-yarder, with 4:35 left in the second quarte r before Albany's John Opalko made a 38-yard field goal as time expired to make it 14-3 at the half. Aaron Oroh recovered at muffed punt at the Great Danes' 9 early in the third quarter and Laube scored a play later to give the Wildcats an 18-point lead. Thomas Greaney caught a 29-yard touchdown pass from Reese Poffenbarger to trim Albany's deficit to 21-16 with 2:47 left and Laube responded with a 37-yard touchdown 58 seconds later. Poffenbarger, who completed 18 of 27 passes for 264 yards, added a 10- yard TD pass to Greaney in the closing seconds. Villanova led 20-7 at the half but had four punts in the second half before Randall Harris and Evan Horn end ed the last two possessions with interceptions. Horn's second pick, inside the 10, came with 14 seconds left. Brosmer completed 25 of 32 passes for 276 yards and one interception. He capped an 80-yard game-opening drive with a 15-yard strike to Brian Esp anet. Villanova scored three touchdowns, with Daniel Smith running for one and passing for another, to build the halftime lead. Max Brosmer threw two touchdown passes to Brian Espanet, Jason Hughes kicked two field goals and New Hampshire beat Stony Brook 20-14 on Saturday night for its third straight Colonial Athletic Association win. Trailing 14-10 in the fourth quarter after S topping Stony Brook on downs, Brosmer hit Espanet on a 20-yard TD catch and the Wildcats (4-2, 3-0) led 20-14 after Hughes' 20-yard field goal with 5:07 left.New Hampshire again stopped the Seawolves on downs and ran out the clock for the win.
