  Tyquell Fields threw two touchdown passes and ran for a third and Stony Brook forced six turnovers to defeat Richmond 27-14 on Saturday. Fields, who threw for 226 yards, threw a 27-yard scoring pass to Shawn Harris, Jr. in the first quarter, and hit Tyler Devera on a 20-yard play in the second as the Seawolves (3-5, 2-3 Colonial Athletic Association) built a 20-0 lead by halftime. Richmond (2-5, 0-4) cut the gap to 20-7 on an Aaron Dykes 2-yard carry before Fields iced the game with his run from the 5 coming five plays after a Richmond fumble. The Spiders lost four fumbles and Joe Mancuso was intercepted twice. Stony Brook scored 10 points off the miscues. Mancuso completed 21 of 43 passes for 196 yards and a touchdown to Savon Smith as Richmond closed to 27-14 with 9:27 remaining. After forcing a Stony Brook three-and-out, Mancuso was picked off in the end zone by Randy Pringle to effectively end the comeback threat. - Stony Brook/AP College Football

  Tyquell Fields threw for one touchdown and ran for another to lead Stony Brook to a 24-3 victory over Colgate on Saturday. Ty Son Lawton added a rushing score and finished with 134 yards on the ground, going over 1,000 for his career. Jacob Jaworski kicked a 35-yard-field goal to give the Raiders (0-2) their only points and the early lead. Fields found Shawn Harris Jr. alone deep down the middle for a 64-yard score early in the second quarter and Mike Boyle added a 26-yard field goal for a 10-3 halftime lead. Fields ran in from the 1 for a score, capping an 81-yard drive that took over 8 1/2 minutes for a 17-3 lead late in the third, and Lawson added a 10-yard score early in the fourth. The Seawolves (1-1) outgained the Raiders 413-247, giving up just 60 rushing yards. The Seawolves had three sacks, interceptions by Dajon Owens and Jordan Jackson, plus a goal-line stand that halted a 77-yard Colgate drive at the 1. - AP College Football

The junior quarterback completed 21-of-37 passes for a career-high 320 yards and a TD and also ran for a pair of scores.   Nick Courtney kicked a 22-yard field goal as time expired, lifting Stony Brook to a 36-35 upset win over Villanova on Saturday night in which the Seawolves scored 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Villanova (6-2, 3-2 Colonial Athletic Association), ranked No. 5 in the STATS FCS Top 25, has lost two in a row and fallen out of a four-team cluster in second place behind unbeaten James Madison. Stony Brook (5-3, 2-2) snapped a two-game skid.

Trailing 35-20 in the fourth quarter, the Seawolves scored touchdowns on two of their three possessions and held Villanova to a pair of three-and-outs on its last two possessions. After fielding a short punt with 28 seconds left, with 64 yards to cover and trailing by three points, Tyquell Fields quickly brought the Seawolves to the 5 with passes of 19 and 40 yards to Andrew Trent and Nick Anderson, respectively, setting up Courtney's kick for the upset. Fields finished 21-for-37 passing for 320 yards. Anderson had eight catches for 137 yards.
