Syracuse defensive lineman McKinley Williams will return for a sixth season, becoming the third senior defensive lineman to return to the team. Williams' roster status was confirmed by athletic director John Wildhack during an interview on ESPN Radio 97. 7 on Monday afternoon. The athletic director included Williams' name when listing off key seniors returning to the football team. Williams was one of the few remaining seniors whose roster status was unclear since the end of the season. Fall athletes wer e given exceptional latitude by the NCAA to extend their eligibility clocks in response to the coronavirus pandemic. In 50 games (26 starts) over five seasons, Williams has 99 tackles, including 18 for loss, 2.5 sacks and one fumble recovery. - The Post- Standard
