Jett Duffey scored on a 1-yard run with just over two minutes remaining and Hampton defeated Campbell 28-21 on Saturday. Duffey's score completed a 10-play, 75-yard drive that came after Dylan Earney connected with Jalen Kelsey on a 42-yard touchdown pas s that had put the Fighting Camels ahead with 6:16 left. Duffey was 19 of 31 for 231 yards passing with two interceptions but scored twice rushing, finishing with 51 yards on 17 carries, to lead the Pirates (5-5, 3-3 Big South). Jadakis Bonds made eight catches for 110 yards. Earney was 16 of 29 for 196 yards passing and his touchdown to Kelsey, who had 97 yards receiving, for Campbell (3-7, 2-4). - AP College Football

Keyondre White scored the game-winning touchdown on a 25-yard run in overtime to help Hampton beat Gardner-Webb 27-21 on Saturday. After Gardner-Webb failed to score on the opening drive of overtime, White went to his left but was met with defenders so h e bounced outside with the help of a key block from quarterback Jett Duffey and reached the end zone for the third time this season. Duffey was 12 of 18 for 231 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions for Hampton (4-5, 2-3 Big South). Romon Cop eland opened the scoring for Hampton, making a one-handed catch over the middle and spinning a defender before racing in for a 44-yard score. Duffey had scoring passes of 16 and 34 yards in the second quarter to give Hampton a 21-14 lead. Jett Duffey threw two touchdown passes to lead Hampton to a 30-9 victory over North Carolina A&T on Saturday. Duffey was 17-of-28 passing for 285 yards. He tossed a 30-yard touchdown pass to Jadakis Bonds that capped Hampton's (3-4, 1-2 Big South Confere nce) first series. Duffey's 72-yard TD pass to Romon Copeland stretched the Pirates' lead to 20-9 late in the third quarter. Copeland had 112 yards on just three receptions. Elijah Burris's 31-yard touchdown run gave the Pirates a 27-9 lead early in the fourth quarter. Burris finished with 16 carries for 86 yards. Jalen Fowler threw a 74-yard touchdown pass to Jamison Warren for North Carolina A&T (3-4, 2-2). Fowler completed 17 of 25 passes for 234 yards. Jett Duffey threw for three touchdowns, including a 95-yarder to Hezekiah Grimsley as Hampton defeated Howard 48-32 before 14,000 fans on Saturday in the inaugural Truth and Service Classic. The 95-yard hookup from Duffey to Grimsley, who made the catch at about his own 25 and outran the defense the rest of the way, was the longest scoring pass in, not just Hampton's, but Big South Conference history. Saturday's 96th matchup between the two HBCU programs was the first college football game played at Aud i Field, home of the D.C. United of Major League Soccer. It was also the fifth straight for Hampton in the so-called Battle of the Real HU. Vice President Kamala Harris, a Howard alumna, made a surprise appearance and walked onto the field for the pregam e coin toss. It was won by Howard, which deferred to Hampton. - AP College Football

Texas Tech quarterback Jett Duffey continues to give West Virginia fits. The junior moved the offense at will in the first half and the Red Raiders used a fast start to beat West Virginia 38-17 on Saturday, handing the Mountaineers their fifth straight l oss. Duffey threw for one touchdown to boost his total to 10 scores with two interceptions in his last five games after taking over in mid-September for the injured Alan Bowman. "We came out with a great focus. We have to continue it," Jett said. "I alwa ys believe in myself, I always believe that if I work hard and do what I need to do, then I will achieve what I want to achieve, no matter what's in my way."Ta'Zhawn Henry and SaRodorick Thompson each had two first-half short scoring runs for Texa s Tech (4-5, 2-4 Big 12), which broke a three-game losing streak and now has a bowl bid to fight for with three games left. "A lot of people are counting us out," said Texas Tech coach Matt Wells. "(We have) a little underdog mentality right now." Jett Duffey passed for four touchdowns and ran for another in his first start of the season as Texas Tech knocked off No. 21 Oklahoma State 45-35 on Saturday. Texas Tech (3-2, 1-1 Big 12), coming off a 55-16 loss at Oklahoma two weeks ago, built a 20-0 l ead 30 seconds into the second quarter to win its second straight in the series after going 0-10-2 in the teams' previous 12 meetings. Duffey completed 26 of 44 passes for 424 yards with scoring passes to Erik Ezukanma (56 yards), T.J. Vasher (21), KeSea n Carter (14) and Dalton Rigdon (8). He ran for a 16-yard touchdown.Oklahoma State (4-2, 1-2) committed five turnovers, three interceptions and two fumbles by redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Sanders. Cowboys running back Chuba Hubbard, first in the FBS averaging 187.6 rushing yards going into Saturday, rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns. Sanders was 22 of 37 passing for 276 yards with touchdowns of 73 yards to Jordan McCray and 10 yards to Tylan Wallace. Wallace, who went into play l eading Division I averaging 22.07 yards per catch among his 123.6 yards per game, had 11 catches for 85 yards, one touchdown in the closing minutes, and a long gain of 14 yards.
