2020 ALL-BIG 12 CONFERENCE FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM: OL Jack Anderson, Texas Tech,...The Red Raiders had five total selections to either the first or second teams as junior offensive lineman Jack Anderson, sophomore wide receiver Erik Ezukanma, sophomore punter Austin McNamara and senior defensive back Zech McPhearson headlined the awards as first-team honorees, while junior offensive lineman Dawson Deaton was tabbed to the second team. This was the second All-Big 12 accolade for Anderson, who was a second-team honoree in 2018. - Texas Tech Football

Texas Tech junior offensive lineman Jack Anderson announced Saturday evening he will forego his remaining eligibility and declare for the 2021 NFL Draft. "I have been blessed to spend the past four years in Lubbock surrounded by the fans in the country, coaches who are family and teammates who have become lifelong friends," Anderson said in a Twitter post. "Texas Tech University is my home, and the support from Red Raider Nation has been unbelievable...After many conversations with my family, I have decided to forgo my remaining eligibility and declare for the 2021 NFL Draft."

Anderson's final game as a Red Raider came only hours prior to his announcement as the Red Raiders topped Kansas, 16-13, in what was his 38th and final appearance in scarlet and black. Anderson started in all 38 games of his career, missing only nine games in 2019 after suffering a season-ending surgery. Anderson bounced back from that injury to start in all 10 games this season for a Red Raider offensive line that likely ended the regular season with two of its best performances. Tech totaled more than 200 rushing yards against both Oklahoma State and Kansas, marking the first time the Red Raiders had done so in consecutive games since the final two contests to close out the 2015 regular season. - Texas Tech Football

2020 OUTLAND TROPHY PRESEASON WATCH LIST: G Jack Anderson, Texas Tech,...This is the second-consecutive season Anderson has landed on the Outland Trophy watch list as he was also a preseason candidate in 2019 before a shoulder injury limited him to only three games and a redshirt season. Anderson has made 28 starts over his career, the most among any offensive returner this season. He ranks third on the team in career starts, trailing only defensive back DaMarcus Fields (31) and defensive lineman Eli Howard (29). Anderson previously started the first 26 games of his career prior to missing the UTEP game a year ago. He earned All-Big 12 second team honors as a sophomore in 2018 and was tabbed a Freshman All-American by both ESPN and USA Today following his 2017 true freshman season. - Texas Tech Football
