Pitt has officially lost their second member of their starting secondary. Senior safety Damar Hamlin officially announced on Twitter on Saturday that he will not return to Pitt for a sixth season and will enter the 2021 NFL Draft. 2019 PRESEASON BEDNARIK AWARD CANDIDATE: S Damar Hamlin, Pitt,...Hamlin also heads into his senior season after an extremely productive 2018 that saw the safety start all 14 games for the Panthers while leading the team with 90 total tackles and two inte rceptions. The Pittsburgh Central Catholic product from McKees Rocks, Pa., added three tackles for loss, four pass breakups and a fumble recovery last year, earning Honorable Mention All-ACC honors. Hamlin's standout performance last season came in Pitt' s overtime victory over Syracuse on Oct. 7, during which the safety tallied a career-high 14 tackles and was named ACC Defensive Back of the Week. - Pitt Football
