2019 AFCA NAIA COACHES' FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: P Drake Higgins, Sr, Missouri Valley,...Higgins was chosen as a first team All-American, and finished his senior season as the NAIA leader in yards per punt average, at 45.1 yards per punt. He also broke t he school's record for punting average in a season. Higgins had a season-long punt of 71 yards, and finished with 12 punts downed inside the opponent's 20 yard line. This is the second-straight year that Higgins has earned first team All-American honors from the AFCA. He becomes the ninth member of the Viking football program selected to the AFCA All-America Team, since 2007. Higgins is also the third member of the program to be a two-time selection joining Richard Wick (2010-11) and Ty Phillips (2013-1 4). In 2017, Higgins was selected to the Associated Press NAIA Football All-America Team, placed on the second team. Higgins finished his career with an average of 43.5 yards per punt on 135 total punts, placing 40 total punts inside the opponent's 20 ya rd line. - Missouri Valley College Football
