Daniel Karrash kicked a 22-yard field goal with 2 seconds left in the game and Pennsylvania outlasted Brown 38-36 on Saturday. Karrash's kick saved the day for the Quakers (3-4, 1/3 Ivy League), who saw a 35-19 third-quarter lead turn into a 36-35 defici t with 8:40 left to play. EJ Perry's 50-yard touchdown run gave the Bears (1-6, 0-4) a 7-0 lead after one quarter. Abe Williams capped back-to-back drives with TD runs of 1 and 8 yards to put Penn up 14-7 with 5:19 left before halftime. Perry scored on a 3-yard run, but the point-after kick missed and Brown trailed 14-13. Nick Robinson connected with Ryan Cragun for a 24-yard scoring strike with 2:09 left, giving Penn a 21-13 lead, but Perry found Jakob Prall for a 37-yard score. The 2-point try failed and left Brown trailing 21-19 at halftime.Penn stretched its lead to 35-19 just 2 minutes into the third quarter. Robinson had an 11-yard TD pass to Rory Starkey Jr. and on the ensuing kickoff Brian O'Neill scooped up a fumble and raced 21 yards f or a TD. Brown pulled within 35-22 after three quarters on Dawson Goepferich's 24-yard field goal. The Bears got within six points on Allen Smith's 1-yard TD run and grabbed a one-point lead on Perry's third TD run of the game, a 16-yarder with 8:40 rema ining. Robinson completed 19 of 33 passes for 247 yards, two TDs and an interception. Cragun had a career-best 11 catches for a career-high 144 yards. Karekin Brooks ran for 178 yards and scored four touchdowns and Pennsylvania never trailed in its 38-24 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday. Brooks scored twice in the first quarter - each from 1-yard out - ending drives of 75 and 35 yards, respectively. W ith 1:48 before halftime, Nick Robinson threw a 17-yard TD pass to Brooks to finish another 75-yard scoring drive for a 24-3 lead. Sacred Heart reached the end zone on its ensuing drive when Logan Marchi threw a 29-yard TD pass to Naseim Brantley to redu ce the Pioneers' deficit to 24-10.In the third quarter, Kevin Peprah recovered a Penn (2-2) fumble and returned it 12 yards for a touchdown to make it a one-score game. Two drives later, early in the fourth, Robinson threw an 11-yard TD pass to Ro ry Starkey Jr., and Penn led 31-17. On the ensuing drive, Marchi connected with Tyrese Chambers on a 74-yard scoring pass reducing the Pioneers (3-3) margin to one score. Brooks sealed it with a 2-yard scoring run with 6:51 remaining. Karekin Brooks ran for 202 yards and two touchdowns as Penn held on late to edge winless Lafayette 28-24 on Saturday. Brooks added to the Quakers (1-1) four-point halftime lead on a short scoring run for a 21-01 lead with 11:36 to go in the fourth. Penn' s next drive ended when Brooks fumbled and Lafayette's Yasir Thomas recovered for a 17-yard return. That recovery led to an 11-yard touchdown pass by Keegan Shoemaker and the Leopards closed to 21-18 with 2:04 to play. Brooks redeemed himself with a 31-y ard touchdown run to extend the Quakers lead to 28-18 with 1:43 remaining.David Perkins had a 39-yard field goal attempt blocked early in the second quarter but quarterback Nick Robinson made good with a pair of scoring passes to Ryan Cragun and P enn led 14-10 at halftime.
