2019 PRESEASON BUTKUS AWARD WATCH LIST: Davion Taylor, Colorado,...Taylor, a 6-2, 225-pound outside linebacker from Magnolia, Miss., started 10 games last season and is expected to fill the Buffs' "star" position this year, a hybrid linebacker-safety spot in head coach Mel Tucker's 3-4 alignment. Taylor, whose speed and size make him one of the most versatile players on the field, was third on the team in tackles last year with 75.

He also recorded 11 third-down stops and 11 quarterback pressures (both second-best on the team) and had two fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for a touchdown against New Hampshire. A relative newcomer to the game - he did not play high school ball - he steadily improved throughout the season, with 37 of his 75 tackles coming in the last four games of the year. - Colorado Football
