  Dom Williams ran for 101 yards and a career-high four touchdowns on 17 carries to help Northern Iowa beat Missouri State 41-20 Saturday night. Williams scored on a 9-yard run less than a minute into the game and his 1-yard touchdown gave Northern Iowa (4-4, 3-2 Missouri Valley) a 14-0 lead with 6:40 left in the first quarter. Williams added a 2-yard touchdown midway through the third quarter and his 10-yard scoring run on the first play of the fourth quarter made it 38-14. Jason Shelley completed 16 of 22 passes for 151 yards with a touchdown and an interceptions for Missouri State (2-5, 0-4). Jacardia Wright scored on a 6-yard run in the fourth quarter.   OCT 17 MISSOURI VALLEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE: PK Matthew Cook, UNI - Cook drilled a pair of field goals from 42 and 19 yards while also hitting 5 PAT attempts in UNI's 41-14 win over Utah Tech. Cook's field goals now give him sole possession of 3rd place in school history in career field goals made (61), passing Brian Wingert (2003-06). He also broke a tie with Wingert and Mack Hoambrecker (2000-02) for career field goal attempts (77). Cook is now 4 made field goals away from setting UNI's program record as well as the MVFC's all-time mark.   OCT 17 MISSOURI VALLEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE: QB Theo Day, UNI - Day recorded a career day accounting for a career-best four touchdowns in a 41-14 rout of Utah Tech. Day threw for three touchdowns plus one rushing score, highlighted by a 70-yard touchdown pass in the 2nd quarter to Sam Schnee, the 2nd longest pass competition of his career. With 308 yards in the air, Day notched his 2nd career game of 300+ passing yards.   Theo Day threw three touchdown passes, ran for another score, and Northern Iowa racked up 548 yards on offense in a 42-14 victory over Utah Tech on Saturday. The Panthers (3-4) struck early, with Day's 44-yard touchdown pass to Sergio Morancy coming on their first possession. Day threw second-quarter TD passes of 32 yards to Desmond Hutson and 70 yards to Sam Schnee for a 34-7 halftime lead. Day's 1-yard run early in the third quarter was UNI's final score of the game. His first came during WIU's second drive of the third quarter, returning a deflected pass off teammate Bryce Flater for a 43-yard score. The very next drive, Governor returned his second interception 49 yards for six points. Saturday marked the first time the Panthers recorded two pick-sixes in a game since 2017.   Theo Day accounted for two touchdowns and Northern Iowa beat Indiana State 20-14 on Saturday. Dawson Basinger's 1-yard touchdown run pulled Indiana State to 17-14 with 7:41 remaining. But Day led Northern Iowa (2-3, 2-1 Missouri Valley Football Conference) on a 12-play, 57-yard drive that took up nearly six minutes and was capped by Matthew Cook's 35-yard field goal with 1:44 to play.
