Perry also set a new Brown record with 560 plays, while his 22 passing touchdowns rank 18th in the Ivy record book.   The Ivy League is expected to announce it will shift all fall sports, including football, to the spring, according to several reports.   Brown has promoted Heather Marini to quarterbacks coach, making her the first female position coach in Division I football. A native of Australia, Marini spent last season as the team's offensive quality control assistant coach. She is the third woman on the staff in the last three years under head coach James Perry. "Promoting Heather to our quarterback coach makes us a stronger program and I know she will be a pioneer in the expanding roles women have in collegiate football," he said. In her new position, Marini will work with EJ Perry, who led the nation for total offense in 2019, setting an Ivy League record and finishing as a finalist for the conference Player of the Year award. Prior to coaching at Brown, Marini worked with the New York Jets as a summer scouting specialist. She joined Brown's coaching staff shortly after attending the NFL's Women's Careers in Football Forum. - AP College Football

He led the nation with 367.8 yards per game of total offense and shattered the Ivy League single season record for total offense with 3,678 total yards, eclipsing the previous Ivy League record of 3,553 yards by Princeton's Chad Kanoff in 2017. Perry also set a new Brown record with 560 plays, while his 22 passing touchdowns rank 18thin the Ivy record book.

His 2,948 passing yards are fifth in Brown history and 15thin league history and his 251 completions rank sixth all-time at Brown and 12thin the conference history. Perry had three games that ranked in the top 10 in Brown history in total offense: 512 total yards vs. Rhode Island (2nd, 5thin Ivy history), 471 total yards vs. Yale (4th, 17thIvy) and 463 total yards vs. Cornell (7th,22ndIvy). A two-year team captain, his four sacks and nine tackles for loss ranked 11thin the Ivy League. He finished the season as Brown's fifth leading tackler with 42 total tackles, including 29 solo hits.   EJ Perry threw for three touchdowns, ran for another and set the Brown single-season record for total offense in a 48-24 win over Columbia on Saturday, the Bears' first Ivy League win. Allen Smith had 113 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries, one going 70 yards for a score on fourth-and-1, which put the Bears on top 28-17 at halftime. Perry, who was 24 of 39 for 300 yards, had 334 yards of total offense, which pushed him pass the 3,196 yards piled up by head coach James Perry, who is EJ's uncle. Perry had touchdown passes of 49, 10 and 7 yards in a 21-point third quarter. He also scored on a 2-yard run. LJ Harriott had one of the touchdowns among his six catches for 117 yards. The Bears (2-7, 1-5) piled up 457 yards but started the scoring with a 38-yard scoop and score by Nick Messina. The Lions (3-6, 2-4) had 427 yards but had three turnovers and a punt blocked. Perry set a Brown QB record with 227 rushing yards, and one of his two touchdowns went 94 yards for the second-longest run in program history. He completed 21 of 32 passes for 183 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. New Bears coach James Perry, E.J.'s uncle, also debuted against the Bryant program he guided the last two seasons.
