  Draft Scout by Conference

Florida State switching Jammie Robinson and Akeem Dent to safety last season transformed the position group. After the Seminoles started 0-4, Robinson converted from nickel cornerback to free safety. Kevin Knowles II replaced Robinson at nickel and held his own for a true freshman. Knowles' play helped Robinson cement himself at safety and earn first-team All-ACC honors. Dent transitioned from cornerback to buck safety ahead of last season. He initially struggled before shining in FSU's final three games. Dent recorded four tackles and a pass breakup against Miami, his first career interception in the following game at Boston College and eight tackles to finish the season at Florida.

Not much is off the table for Robinson to accomplish this fall. Phil Steele, a renowned college football analyst, even named Robinson second-team All-America in his preseason magazine earlier this summer. After what he achieved in his first season at FSU, Robinson deserved that recognition. The South Carolina transfer led the team with 85 tackles and four interceptions. He also tallied seven tackles for a loss, three pass breakups and two forced fumbles. The 5-foot-11, 203-pound Robinson gives the Seminoles a complete safety who can handle practically any responsibility. He's effective in coverage. He's effective against the run. And he's effective from multiple positions like nickel, free safety and in the box. - Times Union
