  Draft Scout by Conference

From a statistical standpoint, no Pac-12 team had a better pair of inside linebackers than Roberts and Speights. Roberts led the conference in tackles with 128, while Speights was eighth with 95. Roberts also had a team-high 9 1/2 tackles for loss. Against the run, OSU was solid, though not spectacular, ranking fifth in the Pac-12 in yielding 4.14 yards per carry. But as a group, OSU's inside linebackers somewhat struggled to cover receivers, mostly slot and running backs.

Fisher, who started in the LA Bowl with Roberts undergoing surgery, was given first crack this spring as Roberts' long-term replacement. Fisher is hardly a newbie, as he enters his sixth year in college. Fisher is quick, and he can be physical. Despite losing a three-year starter in Roberts, the Beavers have plenty of inside linebacker experience. Colletto also enters his sixth year in college, and Speights has 25 career starts. But youth could seriously impact this position, as the coaches are excited about the progress of Mascarenas-Arnold and Miller. - The Oregonian
