  05/10/21 - TE Greg DulcichrJr/2022, UCLA

UCLA remains steady at the tight end position, with starter Greg Dulcich coming back for another season. The Bruins have had quality play from the position for several years, but Dulcich will be the first returning starter at the position since 2018 because Devin Asiasi (2019) and Caleb Wilson (2016-18) decided to forgo their respective senior seasons to enter the NFL draft. "We use tight ends in a lot of different roles," Dulcich told reporters after Monday's spring practice. "Whether it's in-line blocking or stretching the field, I think that's what makes us a really special group." Dulcich credits coach Derek Sage for helping the UCLA tight ends reach their potential since his arrival in 2018.

"Coach Sage does a really good job making sure we are complete tight ends," Dulcich said. "We are always trying to be players that make big plays (blocking) in the run game and can be vertical threats that secondaries have to worry about." Both Asiasi and Wilson were among the team's leading receivers during their final season before turning pro. Dulcich will likely garner similar attention from NFL scouts this fall after a breakout season as a redshirt sophomore in 2020, leading the Bruins in all but one receiving category. He had 517 yards and five touchdowns on 26 catches. Only receiver Kyle Phillips had more receptions (38). - Los Angeles Times
