SMU got a boost to its receiving corps on Wednesday when T.Q. Jackson announced via Twitter that his waiver to play immediately was approved by the NCAA. Jackson, a redshirt freshman, played in three games for the Arkansas Razorbacks last season, thus preserving his eligibility. He transferred to SMU in the offseason. Jackson is from Jefferson, Texas, and had one catch last season. He hasn't been eligible to play in the first three games for SMU in 2020. He was a four-star recruit coming out of Jefferson High School and had a host of Power Five offers, according to 247Sports. He was rated as the No. 45 wide receiver in the nation by the recruiting service for the Class of 2019. - Dallas Morning News
