Jack Snyder and Mitchell Summers both ran for a pair of touchdowns to lift Sacred Heart to a 42-37 win over Merrimack on Saturday. Snyder, who ran for 163 yards on eight carries, threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Jimmy Casey and then scored on runs of 82 and 23 yards. Summers carried 23 times for 150 yards with scores covering 53 yards and 1 yard, which put Sacred Heart on top for good 28-24 late in the third quarter. Then Trey Eberhart broke free for an 81-yard score on the next possession as he finish ed with 107 yards on six carries. The Pioneers (8-3) had 424 yards on the ground while Snyder completed 8 of 11 passes for 97 yards. Ayden Pereira was 20 of 40 for 170 yards and two touchdowns and had 22 keepers for 173 yards and two more scores for the Warriors (3-8), who had 499 total yards. - AP College Football

Jack Snyder threw for a touchdown and ran for another, Mitchell Summers rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns, and Sacred Heart beat New Haven 35-20 on Saturday. Sacred Heart (6-3) improved to 4-0 at home this season. Snyder connected with Dean Hangey f or a 43-yard score on Sacred Heart's first play of the fourth quarter and the quarterback added a 34-yard scoring run with 3:16 left for a 35-13 lead.Snyder was 13 of 24 for 158 yards passing and he carried it 11 times for 52 yards. Chuck Webb add ed 44 yards rushing and a touchdown for Sacred Heart. Hangey caught five passes for 86 yards and a touchdown. The Pioneers, who entered ranked 17th in the FCS in rushing offense at 197.5 yards per game, rushed for 229 yards and four scores. AJ Duffy thre w for 210 yards with one touchdown and one interception for New Haven (4-5). Jalen Smith rushed for 102 yards on just nine carries. Jack Snyder hit Jason Palmieri for the go-ahead touchdown, Sacred Heart held Delaware State scoreless in the second half and the Pioneers defeated the Hornets 35-31 on Saturday. Delaware State's Marquis Gillis bolted 75 yards on the first play from scrim mage and the Hornets rolled to 345 yards and a 31-20 lead in the first half. Sacred Heart then dominated the second half, and Snyder's 41-yard touchdown pass to Palmieri plus a two-point conversion drew the Pioneers within 31-28 with about three minutes left in the third quarter. Snyder and Palmieri connected again on a 6-yard touchdown midway through the fourth quarter for their 35-31 lead.The Hornets turned it over on downs near midfield on their only remaining possession of the game. Gillis' s econd touchdown run of the first half gave Delaware State a 21-10 lead and Jayden Sauray's 75-yard TD pass to Ryan Pellum Taylor made it 28-17 in the second quarter. The Hornets led 31-20 at halftime, with Gillis rushing for 102 of their 215 rushing yard s. He finished with 123 yards.
