Demond Williams Jr., Washington, Player News

In addition to holding Williams to 129 passing yards, Oregon sacked the Washington quarterback four times. He completed just 50% of his passes, notable considering Williams entered the game sixth in the country in completion percentage. For as solid a first season as Washington's starter as it was for Williams, he struggled on the road and against the Big Ten's best. In the Huskies' four losses this season, Williams had three touchdowns and six interceptions. In eight Washington wins, Williams threw 18 touchdowns and two interceptions. - AP College Football

Demond Williams Jr. scored on two quarterback keepers and threw for two touchdowns, and Alex McLaughlin returned a fumble for a 59-yard TD to help Washington rout UCLA 48-14 on Saturday night. The Huskies (8-3, 5-3 Big Ten) won their second game in a row for the first time since early October. Williams was 17-of-26 for 213 yards passing, hitting Dezman Roebuck with an 18-yard score and Decker DeGraaf with a 24-yard TD. Williams ran for TDs of 25 and 11 yards. The Huskies piled up 212 rushing yards to 58 for UCLA. They had 25 first downs to 10 for the Bruins and were 4 of 11 on third down to 2 of 13 for UCLA. The Bruins (3-8, 3-5) lost their fourth in a row, tying their season-worst skid, while playing what could have been their final regular-season game at the historic Rose Bowl because of an imbroglio between the university and the City of Pasadena involving UCLA's lease.

UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava returned after missing last week's blowout loss at No. 1 Ohio State while in concussion protocol only to get hurt in the third quarter. He was sacked for a 15-yard loss by Bryce Butler with the Bruins trailing 27-0. The Tennessee transfer was 16-of-26 for 69 yards and no touchdowns. Iamaleava also ran for 16 yards on five carries. He was replaced by Luke Duncan, who started in Iamaleava's place against Ohio State. UCLA's Cash Peterman ran for a 3-yard loss and fumbled at the Washington 41. McLaughlin recovered the ball and returned it for a TD, extending the Huskies' lead to 20-0 in the second. Mikey Matthews scored UCLA's first TD on a 37-yard catch from Duncan late in the third. Jamir Benjamin scored on a 1-yard fumble recovery in the fourth. - Washington/AP College Football

Demond Williams Jr. threw four touchdown passes and ran for a score as Washington reclaimed the Apple Cup with a 59-24 victory over Washington State on Saturday night. Williams was at the heart of Washington's offensive success with 298 yards through the air and another 88 on the ground, but the Huskies made use of other weapons on their way to 471 total yards. Running back Jonah Coleman rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns to help a dominant rushing attack. Denzel Boston led all receivers with 107 yards and two touchdowns. The Huskies scored on every possession, extending their season-opening scoring streak to 21 straight drives. Washington scored touchdowns on seven of its eight scoring drives. Washington opened the 117th Apple Cup with a touchdown drive as Boston caught a 29-yard pass from Williams. There was uncertainty at quarterback for Washington State heading into the game as coach Jimmy Rogers did not name a starter before Saturday's game.

Senior Zevi Eckhaus started in place of redshirt sophomore Jaxon Potter, who threw three interceptions last week in a 59-10 loss to North Texas. Eckhaus was intercepted on Washington State's first drive by safety Alex McLaughlin. The interception sparked back-to-back touchdowns from Washington, both on the ground courtesy of Williams and Coleman. The Cougars' only touchdown of the half came when Eckhaus found redshirt freshman tight end Bo Baker for his first collegiate catch and touchdown. The instate rivals traded touchdowns to start the second half, with Boston adding his second score on a contested catch in the corner of the end zone to open the fourth quarter. The Cougars committed back-to-back turnovers after the Boston score, starting with a second interception by Eckhaus which McLaughlin returned for a touchdown. Eckhaus also fumbled on the first play of the next possession. Another Coleman touchdown run and a 59-yard touchdown reception by senior Omari Evans capped the scoring as the Huskies secured their 76th win in the Apple Cup series. - Washington/AP College Football
