Andy Peters, Saint Thomas, Player News

Andy Peters accounted for five touchdowns - two through the air and three on the ground - and St. Thomas-Minnesota rolled to a 45-0 victory over Marist on Saturday. St. Thomas-Minnesota (6-3, 4-2 Pioneer Football League) linebacker Ryan Sever stuffed Tristan Shannon for no gain on a fourth-and-1 run at the Marist 38-yard line on the game's opening possession and it was all downhill for the Red Foxes (3-6, 1-4) from there. Peters fired a touchdown pass to Quentin Cobb-Butler on the next play to put the Tommies ahead.

Elliot Huether's punt bounced off Marist's Trevion Adcox and Mitchell Schares recovered at the Red Foxes' 16-yard line. Five plays later Peters ran it in from a yard out and Gabriel Abel added a two-point run for a 15-0 advantage after one quarter. The Tommies turned interceptions by Nick Hand and Rod Finley in the second quarter into 1-yard touchdown runs by Peters. Peters followed with a 7-yard touchdown pass to Luke Schuler for a 35-0 lead at halftime. Peters completed 14 of 19 passes for 248 yards and carried 13 times for 28. Cobb-Butler finished with five receptions for 125 yards. Will O'Dell had 101 yards on 14-for-24 passing with three interceptions for Marist. - AP College Football

Andy Peters threw three touchdown passes, and the St. Thomas-Minnesota defense stifled Stetson in a 52-14 victory for the Tommies on Saturday. Peters completed 22 of 28 passes for 292 yards and backup Amari Powell added a 64-yard touchdown for a team passing total of 356 yards. Peters added 80 yards rushing. The Tommies (5-3, 3-2 Pioneer Football League) doubled the Hatters in first downs (22-11) and had more than four times the total yardage (558-120).

Peters had a 63-yard touchdown pass to Stefano Giovannelli and Powell's 64-yard score went to Tyson Schilling, making it 52-3 midway through the fourth quarter. Schilling caught four passes for 101 yards. Gavin Rupp's 43-yard pass to Will Secker with 5 1/2 minutes to go gave the Hatters (3-6, 2-3) their only touchdown on homecoming. The Tommies lead the series 5-0. - AP College Football

Andy Peters, Amari Powell and Ryan Jackson each threw for a touchdown, Joseph Koch rushed for three scores, and St. Thomas-Minnesota routed Davidson 57-13 on Saturday. Powell's touchdown throw went to Quentin Cobb-Butler for an 85-yard score on the first play of the second half for a 36-0 lead. Koch's third touchdown run gave the Tommies a 50-0 lead with 7:24 remaining in the third quarter.

It was the first time St. Thomas scored 50-plus points in a game since 2021, its first season of Division I play. Peters, Powell and Jackson, who was making his collegiate debut, combined to go 18 of 23 - with at least three completions each - for 367 yards and three touchdowns and no interceptions. Koch had 10 carries for 53 yards and Patrick Bowen added 62 yards rushing and two scores. Quentin Cobb-Butler led the Tommies (3-3, 1-2 Pioneer) with 137 yards receiving and a touchdown.
