UCF reserve quarterback Parker Navarro has entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple reports. Navarro was on the outside looking in as it came to UCF's quarterback competition between sophomore Mikey Keene, senior John Rhys Plum lee and true freshman Thomas Castellanos. The redshirt sophomore from Arizona suffered a shoulder injury in the team's second spring scrimmage, which limited him for the remainder of camp. Navarro was photographed Saturday after the spring game with his left arm in a sling. After taking a redshirt his first year at UCF, Navarro appeared in five games at quarterback and on special teams last season. He ran the ball seven times for 54 yards. Navarro finished tied for third on the team with three rushing t ouchdowns, one each in the final three games of the regular season. A member of UCF's 2020 signing class, Navarro was a three-star prospect coming out of Desert Vista in Phoenix, Arizona. He threw for 2,749 yards and 29 touchdowns with six interceptions as a senior quarterback in 2019. He added 959 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns his senior season. - Orlando Sentinel
