2022 ALL-BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM: LB - CJ Tillman, Soph., Campbell,...Tillman led the Camels with 82 tackles this season, ranking sixth in the Big South, on the way to all-league honors. The linebacker tallied 7.5 stops for loss with two sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and two pass breakups, logging 10 or more tackles four times on the year, including a career high 16 stops with 2.0 tackles for loss in CU's season finale win at Delaware State. Tillman was a two-time B ig South Defensive Player of the Week, first posting 11 tackles with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in a win over The Citadel, when he also earned an honorable mention FCS defensive player of the week nod, again earning conference weekly honors af ter gathering 12 tackles with a TFL in a win over Charleston Southern. - Campbell Football

OCT 10 BIG SOUTH DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Campbell linebacker CJ Tillman (Rockingham, N.C.) registered a career-high 12 tackles (six solo, six assisted) in Campbell's 34-28 Big South-opening win over Charleston Southern. He was the team's top tackl er and added a tackle-for-loss in the victory. Also nominated for Defensive Player of the Week: William McRainey (Gardner-Webb). - Big South Football

SEPT 5 BIG SOUTH DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Campbell linebacker CJ Tillman delivered a game-high 11 tackles with a forced fumble, as well as a fumble recovery in Campbell's 29-10 season opening win over The Citadel. The sophomore tallied nine solo tac kles, helping hold the Bulldogs to 222 total yards (187 rushing, 35 passing) with three turnovers. It was Tillman's fourth career double-digit tackle game, and tied his career-high in the process.
