Jacob Nunez, Nevada, Player News
|
The Arizona State Sun Devils have spent the last few years trying to add depth on the offensive line, so much so that the position is better stocked than it has been in the last six or so years. So one has opted to seek playing time elsewhere. Freshman J acob Nunez, a product of Lompoc High School (California) has entered the transfer portal. The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder was part of the 2020 signing class but did not play in any of the Sun Devils four games last season. ASU wrapped up spring drills late las t month with Nunez getting reps primarily with the third team. ASU has 19 other scholarship linemen and heads into the 2021 season in solid shape with the return of four of its its five starters. Nunez, a three-star recruit by all major recruiting servic e, committed to ASU on July 4, 2019 and enrolled in January of 2020. He as ranked as the No. 89 offensive guard and and No. 127 overall prospect in California's 2020 recruiting class in the 247Sports Composite tally. - Arizona Republic
