Linebacker Sam Brooks Jr. and offensive lineman Cleveland Reed Jr. are no longer with the Hurricanes, a UM spokesperson said Friday. Both players were left off the roster at the start of fall camp, which began Friday. Reed, a fifth-year lineman, played i n 15 games for the Hurricanes. Last season, he appeared in five games. He played 43 snaps last season - 28 on the offensive line and 15 on special teams. Most of his work came against Central Connecticut State. Reed, a Fort Meade native, was a four-star prospect in the 2018 class. Brooks, a Miami native, was entering his fourth season. He played in 19 games over three seasons at UM, making 55 total tackles with three tackles for loss. - Sun Sentinel
