George Holani rushed for 102 yards, Hank Bachmeier passed for 225 yards, and the Boise State defense forced a late turnover to hold off upset-minded Wyoming 23-13 Friday night. Boise State continued its mastery of Wyoming, winning its fifth straight and 15th out of 16 games in the series. Wyoming (5-5, 1-5 Mountain West) lost its fifth game out of its last six after a 4-0 start. The Broncos (6-4, 4-2) won for only the second time at home this season, but it wasn't easy. After exchanging touchdowns, the teams settled in for a defensive slugfest in the first half. Jonah Dalmas booted a 43-yard field goal as time expired to give Boise State a 10-7 halftime lead. Boise State continued to struggle offensively in the second half, managing only a 35-yard field goal from Dalmas before the Broncos' defense provided the spark to break the game open. - Boise State/AP College Football

Hank Bachmeier passed for 283 yards and a touchdown and Boise State had five sacks and forced three turnovers to mute No. 25 Fresno State's high-scoring offense in a 40-14 victory Saturday night. Boise State (5-4, 3-2) dominated in the rematch of the 2018 Mountain West championship game. The Broncos lost that snow-filled game in overtime and had to wait three years to get their revenge, but never trailed and took advantage of a sloppy night by the Bulldogs (7-3, 4-2). "Had a pretty good idea that they were going to be able to do this today because of how they worked throughout the week, their mindset, how they focused when we got down here," Boise State coach Andy Avalos said. "Nobody wavered from the plan." George Holani rushed for 117 yards on 21 carries. Jonah Dalmas matched his career best with four field goals.

Dalmas had a fifth field goal taken away when Fresno State was called for roughing the kicker. Three plays later. Bachmeier threw a 10-yard TD to Khalil Shakir. It was Boise State's defense, however, that had everyone buzzing after the game. "That was everything," Dalmas said. "We needed all those crucial stops that we got. They all did their jobs, did it effectively, efficiently. The defense was a huge part of creating great field position for us." Jake Haener passed for 279 yards and two touchdowns for Fresno State, but threw three interceptions - one in the end zone. Fresno State had all sorts of problems and was held to its lowest point total of the season while playing in front of its first sellout at home since 2017. - Boise State/AP College Football

The Broncos got on the board with 1:50 left in the first half when Bachmeier capped a 13-play, 97-yard drive with a nine-yard touchdown pass to Octavius Evans, but the Rams answered with Camper's third field goal of the half from 20-yards out with :11 left.

Evans cut the Colorado State lead to three with a 13-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter.   A.T. Perry said he likely won't sleep for a while and that's understandable. Perry had three touchdown receptions and his last, an acrobatic 22-yard catch in the left corner of the end zone, lifted No. 19 Wake Forest to a 40-37 overtime victory over Syracuse on Saturday. "I knew I caught it," said Perry, who also scored on pass plays covering 46 and 69 yards. "I just wanted to know if it was in bounds. After I caught it, I closed my eyes. I've looked forward my whole life to making a catch to win a game. I'm shaking. I won't be able to sleep tonight." The triumph for Wake Forest (6-0, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) gave the Demon Deacons their first 6-0 start since 1944.

Perry's winning catch came while he was falling backwards and spinning to the turf. "I'm small and I can twist and torque my body," he said. The win was just another step in the right direction for the Demon Deacons, who are aiming high. "Nothing is done yet. Our goal is to win lots of games and be in a big, final game," said quarterback Sam Hartman, who accounted for four touchdowns. In addition to his three scores to Perry, Hartman ran it in from the 1 for another. He was 19 of 32 for 330 yards passing. "We're proud to get the win, but we have a lot more goals than 6-0," coach Dave Clawson said. The loss was the second straight heartbreaker for Syracuse (3-3, 0-2), which lost to Florida State 33-30 a week ago. - Wake Forest/AP College Football

Hank Bachmeier threw for 172 yards and Boise State forced four turnovers in a 26-17 upset victory over No. 10 BYU on Saturday. Cyrus Habibi-Likio ran for a season-high 75 yards and a touchdown, and Andrew Van Buren added a season-high 60 yards and a touchdown to help the Broncos (3-3) snap a two-game losing streak in the series. The Broncos held the Cougars (5-1) to a single touchdown over the final three quarters after blowing second-half leads in losses to UCF and Nevada. "We finally finished the second half," Bachmeier said. "I think we've always been capable of doing it." Jaren Hall threw for a career-high 302 yards and a touchdown for BYU, and Tyler Allgeier ran for 73 yards and a touchdown.

The Cougars outgained Boise State 413-312 in total yards. "I felt like we moved the ball pretty well, except for a couple of drives," Hall said. "We just didn't take care of the ball and did a lot of uncharacteristic things...and put our defense in a tough spot several times. That's pretty much the story of the game for us." Hall looked sharp during the first quarter despite a two-game absence with a rib injury. He completed long passes to open each of BYU's first two drives. Hall punctuated the second drive with a 14-yard strike to Samson Nacua that made it 10-0. Boise State rallied to take a 20-10 halftime, capitalizing on back-to-back BYU fumbles. The Broncos became the first opponent to lead the Cougars at any point this season. - Boise State/AP College Football
