The quarterback position has been a revolving door for the Roadrunners in recent years, and it remains under scrutiny after Harris and Adkins split first-team snaps during UTSA's spring game. Harris, the faster and more athletic option behind center, will likely have the inside track to the starting job as the more experienced option and one of the Roadrunners' emotional leaders. But Adkins is expected to push Harris through fall camp, potentially offering a more accurate passing option.

Injuries have been the story of Harris' career. The former Clemens star missed 2017 and 2018 because of ACL tears, sat out the final eight games of 2019 due to a shoulder injury and pushed through nagging knee problems last year. He was productive in his opportunities, throwing for 1,630 yards with 12 touchdowns and six interceptions while running for 528 yards and nine scores, but questions of whether he was UTSA's best option lingered. - Express-News

TCU football won the sweepstakes for Texas A&M transfer Shadrach Banks this weekend. Banks announced Saturday that he'd be joining TCU. Banks is joining the program with intentions of transitioning from wide receiver to linebacker, a source confirmed. Banks, a four-star prospect in the 2021 class out of Houston North Shore, entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal after less than a semester on A&M's campus. Banks worked with the wide receivers in his short time with the Aggies, but will play linebacker for the Frogs. TCU saw its top linebacker and leading tackler Garret Wallow depart this offseason. Wallow was drafted by the Houston Texans a couple weeks ago. - Fort Worth Star

Redshirt freshman wide receiver Kennedy Lewis has announced his decision to transfer to the UTSA after two seasons with Texas. Lewis, a former three-star prospect from Melissa, TX, appeared in just two games for the Longhorns after opting out of last season due to COVID-19. Jeff Howe reported that Lewis was "no longer with the team" last month after not being listed on the Texas football roster for the spring game. Lewis was suspended "not only from the school but from the university" in March of 2020 according to 247's Chip Brown but sources told Brown that the wideout was expected to return to Texas for summer school. - Burnt Orange Nation

Former KU linebacker Dru Prox, who left the program earlier this offseason and entered the transfer portal at the end of March, has found a new college football home. A starting inside linebacker for the Jayhawks in 2020, Prox will transfer to Texas-San Antonio to complete his career. This past fall, Prox opted out of the season after just four games. Though he missed one game, in the three that he played and started, Prox contributed 23 total tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss, as well as one sack, a pass breakup and two quarterback hurries.   One of the Kansas football team's top defensive players early in the 2020 season, linebacker Dru Prox is looking to continue his career elsewhere. Prox, who had previously left KU, told the Journal-World he entered his name into the transfer portal on Wednesday. A starting inside linebacker for the Jayhawks last year, Prox opted out of the season after just four games. Though he missed one game, in the three that he played and started, Prox contributed 23 total tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss, as well as one sack, a pass breakup and two quarterback hurries. The veteran was KU's leading tackler at the time he opted out, and he made nine total tackles at West Virginia, in what proved to be Prox's final game with the Jayhawks. An unrated prospect by Rivals in the Class of 2016 when he joined KU, Prox redshirted during his first season with the program. He played sparingly during the 2017 and 2018 seasons before becoming a starter the following year. - Lawrence Journal World

LSU's two returning leading rushers, Ty Davis-Price and John Emery, are both limited with injuries in spring football, head coach Ed Orgeron said Tuesday morning in a radio interview. Davis-Price, who led LSU with 446 yards rushing and three touchdowns in 2020, has been hurt "for the most part" since spring football began last week, Orgeron told 104.5 ESPN's "Off the Bench," and they "haven't seen much out of him" although Orgeron didn't detail the injury. Orgeron said Emery, who had 378 yards rushing and three touchdowns in 2020, has been recovering from shoulder surgery. Emery has been wearing a gold noncontact jersey during practice and can't scrimmage. "He's coming back very well," Orgeron said. "He's doing everything we're asking him to do." - Baton Rouge Advocate

After a little more than a month in the NCAA's transfer portal, former Kansas inside linebacker Denzel Feaster has found his next college football home. Feaster announced on Monday his plans to play his final season at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The Roadrunners finished 7-5 this past year, went 5-2 in Conference USA and played in the First Responder Bowl. A defensive starter for KU during the Jayhawks' winless 2020 season, Feaster's senior year with the Jayhawks got cut short after five games due to an undisclosed injury. In his five starts, the 6-foot-3, 224-pound linebacker from Austin, Texas, finished with 20 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble before missing the final four games of the season. - Lawrence Journal World
