  2022 PRESEASON ALL-SWAC FIRST TEAM: Offensive Lineman: Drake Centers, Texas Southern,...Centers, who became the first TSU lineman to earn All-SWAC honors since 2010 last year, displayed his versatility with the ability to step into both tackle spots last season. Centers, a native of Tatum, Texas, also helped anchor an offensive line which helped TSU finish with 4,293 yards of offense while also playing a huge role in helping TSU protect the quarterback as the line ranked fourth in the SWAC in sacks against which marked a huge improvement in that category from the last time TSU played a full season in 2019.   Former LSU wide receiver Jonathan Giles will return to the state of Texas to finish his college career after spending just over a month in the NCAA transfer portal. Giles will transfer to Texas Southern, according to 247Sports, and the 6-foot-1, 186-pound senior will be eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer. Giles, who is from Missouri City, Texas, told 247Sports that his father worked at Texas Southern when he was growing up and "that's where I learned how to play football and started playing football." - The Advocate
