  2022 PRESEASON WALTER CAMP PLAYER OF YEAR PLAYER TO WATCH: Xavier Worthy, WR, sophomore, Texas,...Worthy was the 2021 Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year after a record-breaking year for the Longhorns in which he established top UT freshman single-season marks for receptions (62), receiving yards (981) and receiving touchdowns (12). The Fresno, Calif. native was Texas' first-ever freshman wide receiver to earn first-team All-Big 12 honors.   2022 PRESEASON PAUL HORNUNG AWARD WATCH LIST: D'Shawn Jamison, Texas,...Jamison, a Houston native, is a fifth-year defensive back and returner who has played in 48 career games with 31 starts and is a three-time Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week. He has returned three kicks for touchdowns in his career (2 kickoff/1 punt), which is tied for the second-most in school history. Jordan Shipley (1 kickoff/3 punt) is the only Longhorn with more kick return touchdowns all-time. He is also one of only five Longhorns to return both a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown during his career.

Overall, he has averaged 26.6 yards per kickoff return, second in program history behind Ramonce Taylor (27.0), and ranks fourth all-time in UT history in career kick returns (54) and kick return yards (1,435), while returning 42 punts for 358 yards for an average of 8.5 yards per return.   There were several roster questions answered on Wednesday, including the fact junior Darius Snow is now listed as a linebacker, completing his move from the secondary. Snow, the nephew of former MSU All-America linebacker Percy Snow, started nine games last year, including eight as the nickel back and one at safety, before spending most of the spring working at linebacker. "I believe that's a natural position for him," Tucker said. "He's a big guy; he's a physical player and he does have versatility. There still may be a role for him in our secondary in some packages because of his versatility. But he has a nose for the ball and, obviously, he's got the pedigree. "He looked really good there in the spring and so we feel like that's the best fit for him here and beyond. We really feel like that's his future." - Detroit News
