  2022 ALL-MISSOURI VALLEY FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM: QB Theo Day, Northern Iowa, R-Jr.,...Day picks up his first all-conference honor after leading the MVFC in passing yards (3,121), yards per pass attempt (9.6), pass efficiency (169), passing touchdowns (26), passing yards per game (283.7) and total offense (289.7). He also ranks 7th in the nation in total passing yards, as well as 8th passing touchdowns. Day, who's 3,121 passing yards were the fifth most in a single season in UNI history, was a two-time CFPA FCS National Performer of the Week (Oct. 30 and Nov. 20) and MVFC Co-Offensive Player of the Week (Nov. 21). He recorded a career-high 6 total touchdowns in the Panthers regular season finale at South Dakota, which included his second game this season with 5 passing touchdowns. - Northern Iowa Football

  Theo Day threw five touchdown passes and ran for another score, leading Northern Iowa's 58-14 rout of South Dakota on Saturday. The six total touchdowns - all in the first half - were Day's career high. He completed 21 of 30 passes for 280 yards. His touchdown passes were spread among five receivers. Sergio Morancy had four catches for 135 yards, including a 62-yard touchdown. The Panthers (6-5, 5-3 Missouri Valley) had 593 yards of total offense. South Dakota (3-8, 2-6) managed only 236 yards of total offense. Recording four solo tackles, Sander played a key role in slowing the Jackrabbit offense, which had scored 49 points in its previous two games. Thanks to critical defense by Sander on SDSU's opening drive, the Panthers were able to hold the Jackrabbits to a field goal after driving inside the UNI 10-yard line. - Missouri Valley Football
