  Refeno Vangates caught a touchdown pass and returned a kick for a touchdown in a 33-14 North Carolina Central win over Morgan State on Saturday, the final regular-season game for both teams. Walker Harris picked out Vangates for a 16-yard touchdown strike in the first quarter, sandwiched between a pair of 23- and 20-yard field goals by Kaleb Robison to put the Eagles (8-4, 3-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) up 13-0. Vangates took a kickoff 92 yards in the third quarter to give the Eagles a 27-14 lead.

Chris Mosley scored on a 6-yard carry to capitalize on an interception thrown by Morgan State's Raymond Moore III. Harris rushed for 86 yards on 19 carries, finishing the regular season with 1,017 yards. He led the Eagles with seven catches for 71 yards. Harris was 23-of-34 passing for 264 yards, finding Chauncey Spikes in the fourth quarter for his second touchdown of the game. He entered the game fourth in the FCS in passing yards, and finished the regular season with 3,214. Moore accounted for both scores for Morgan State (4-8, 1-4), throwing a 30-yard touchdown pass to Justin Perry, and keeping another on the ground. He was 12-of-21 passing for 111 yards with two interceptions and led the team with 53 rushing yards.   Walker Harris threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns and North Carolina Central held off Norfolk State for a 31-28 win on Saturday. Norfolk State turned it over on downs on its final drive and NCCU ran out the time. NCCU (7-3, 2-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) took the lead for good near the end of the first quarter when Harris threw a 33-yard touchdown to Mehki Wall for a 10-7 lead. Near the midway point of the second, Harris threw a 5-yard score to Chauncey Spikes for a 17-7 advantage.

Following an NCCU field goal six minutes into the third, the Spartans reduced their deficit to 20-14 when Otto Kuhns threw a 17-yard touchdown to Kam'Ryn Thomas with 5:12 left in the third. Harris threw a 3-yard touchdown to Spikes, and the two-point conversion made it 28-14 to start the fourth. Reserve Vinson Berry relieved Kuhns and threw an 18-yard touchdown to Thomas to reduce the Spartans deficit to 28-21. Kaleb Robinson made it 31-21 for NCC with a 48-yard field goal. The game's final score came when Berry threw a 15-yard touchdown to DreSean Kendrick. Kevon King ran for 149 yards on eight carries for the Spartans. - AP College Football

  Chauncey Spikes totaled 208 yards receiving and caught three of Walker Harris' four touchdown passes in leading North Carolina Central's 35-14 win over Howard on Saturday. Harris, the Eagles' senior quarterback, passed for 321 yards and had five total touchdowns for the second time in his career. Spikes, also a senior, has only one other 100-yard receiving game in his career - 113 yards against East Texas A&M earlier this season - and the three touchdowns are a career high.

The Eagles (6-3, 1-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) had Harris touchdown passes of 13 and 80 yards to Spikes and Harris added a 13-yard scoring run for a 21-0 halftime lead. They connected again on an 8-yard TD pass late in the third quarter. Harris also hit Refeno Vangates for a 30-yard touchdown. Arthur Rodgers Jr. rushed for 126 yards for the Eagles. Tyriq Starks accounted for both touchdowns for Howard (4-5, 1-1), running 1 yard for a score and passing 4 yards to Zaden Jackson for the other.   Walker Harris threw two touchdown passes and ran for another TD, Arthur Rodgers Jr. had two rushing touchdowns, and North Carolina Central beat East Texas A&M 50-42 on Saturday night. Harris was 21-of-32 passing for 288 yards and scored on a 1-yard run about five minutes into the third quarter. Harris threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Chauncey Spikes that made it 14-7 with 3:55 left in the first quarter and N.C. Central (4-2) led the rest of the way.

East Texas A&M (0-4) took a 7-0 lead when Tanner Harrison caught a pass from Harris and then raced 43 yards to the end zone for a 73-yard touchdown on the second play from scrimmage. Chris Mosley had 26 carries for 72 yards and a TD and added five receptions for 58 yards for N.C. Central. Spikes finished with 113 yards receiving on six catches. Ron Peace was 19-of-39 passing for 356 yards and two touchdowns with an interception for the Lions. Eric Rodriguez replaced Peace with about four minutes to play and went 7 of 12 for 100 yards and two TDs.
