  Jah-Maine Martin ran for three touchdowns, Kylil Carter threw for two and North Carolina A&T beat Howard 64-6 on Saturday. Martin ran for 138 yards on seven carries for a 19.7-yards per carry average. Carter was 9-of-13 passing for 176 yards through the air. Zachary Leslie caught four passes for 120 yards and a touchdown and Elijah Bell caught a pair of touchdowns for the Aggies (5-2, 3-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).

After posting a 10-6 lead at the end of the first quarter, North Carolina A&T went on to score 24 points in the second quarter and 23 in the third. The Aggies outgained Howard 574-173 in total yards. Quinton Williams and the rest of the Howard (1-7, 1-3) offense was stymied for most of the duration. Williams was 7-of-20 passing for 58 yards with two interceptions. He managed 80 yards rushing on 17 carries and scored the Bison's lone touchdown to reduce North Carolina A&T's lead to 10-6 early. - AP College Football

  Kylil Carter threw for three touchdowns and Jah-Maine Martin ran for three more to lead North Carolina A&T's 58-19 rout of Norfolk State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference contest Saturday afternoon. Norfolk State's 19 points is the most scored by a MEAC team against the Aggies' defense in their last four conference games. Martin scored on a 2-yard run on the Aggies' first possession and added scoring runs of 67- and 68-yards before intermission. He finished with 199 yards on 10 carries. Two of Carter's three touchdown passes came in the second quarter, sparking NC A&T (4-1, 2-0) to a 37-9 advantage at intermission. Juwan Carter was 24-of-44 passing for 252 yards and a touchdown, but also threw three interceptions for Norfolk State (1-5, 0-2). NC A&T held the Spartans to just 101 yards rushing.   Jah-Maine Martin ran for a career-high 299 yards including two long touchdown runs and North Carolina A&T scored 21 points in the fourth quarter in beating Charleston Southern 27-21 on Saturday night. Martin found a gap on the right side and broke tackles on his way to a 76-yard score that gave the Aggies (2-1) a 27-14 lead with 5½ minutes to go. The Buccaneers scored with about 3½ minutes left but Martin had runs of 13 and 33 yards to help FCS-ranked North Carolina A&T retain possession.

Martin carried 25 times, including an 84-yard scoring run a minute into the fourth quarter with a 2-point conversion tying the game at 14. Noel Ruiz then added his third and fourth field goals of the night. Elijah Bell had 77 yards receiving for 2,347 for an Aggies career record, passing Herbert Harbison. Kameron Brown had 110 yards receiving on nine catches, including two for touchdowns, for Charleston Southern (0-3). - AP College Football

  Noel Ruiz, who missed twice earlier in the fourth quarter, drilled a 52-yard field goal as time expired, lifting North Carolina A&T to a 24-21 victory in a season opener against Elon Saturday night. NCA&T and Elon are each ranked in the FCS polls - the Aggies No. 19 and Elon No. 21. The game was tied 21-21 entering the final quarter and North Carolina A&T drove into field goal range three times. Ruiz missed from 40 and 43 yards, both times wide left. Lined up with one second on the clock, Ruiz boomed a towering kick that soared straight through for the win.

After NCA&T scored 14 unanswered points in the second quarter, Elon took the opening drive after halftime 75 yards to tie on De'Sean McNair's second rushing TD. The Aggies regained the lead when Kylil Carter lofted a high pass that tight end Quinze Lockhart, a transfer from Navy, snagged at the goal line for a 10-yard score.
