Powell started all 12 games this season, two at center and 10 at left guard. He was named MEAC Offensive Lineman of the Week after the Morgan State win, one of three games in which the Spartans topped the 40-point mark.   2019 ALL-MEAC THIRD TEAM (COACHES): RB Kevin Johnson, Fr., Norfolk State,...After walking onto the team as a defensive back prior to the season, Johnson burst onto the scene as a true freshman running back. He led NSU with 468 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on just 86 carries, a 5.4-yard average. Johnson also caught 13 passes for 200 yards and three more scores. His 11 total touchdowns are the most by a Spartan since Chris Bell's 13 TDs in 2009. A three-time MEAC Rookie of the Week, Johnson ranked fourth in the MEAC in scoring and eighth in all-purpose yards (959 yards). - Norfolk State Football

Carter led the conference with 2,632 passing yards, 2,856 yards of total offense and a 60.6 completion percentage. A three-time MEAC Offensive Player of the Week, Carter tied with FAMU's Ryan Stanley for the conference lead in TD passes.   Juwan Carter threw two touchdown passes, Justin Smith had 106 yards receiving and a score and Norfolk State beat North Carolina Central 38-21 on Saturday. Norfolk State (4-6, 3-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic) never trailed. Half of Smith's receiving yards came on a 53-yard touchdown catch from Carter for 10-0 lead with 3:50 left in the first quarter. The Eagles got back in it when Davius Richard threw a 26-yard scoring pass to Treveyon Pratt just before the end of the quarter. Kevin Johnson's 2-yard TD run made it a 17-7 lead. Early in the third, Richard threw a 23-yard TD pass to Daeshawn Stephens to reduce the deficit to three, but they never got closer. Richard threw for 384 yards and three scores for NC Central (4-6, 3-3). E.J. Hicks had 140 receiving yards on seven receptions. - AP College Football

Johnson is tied for third in the MEAC with nine total touchdowns, six rushing and three receiving. He also ranks fourth in the MEAC in all-purpose yards (105.4 ypg) and seventh in rushing yards (49.1 ypg).

A three-time MEAC Rookie of the Week winner, Johnson has rushed 63 times for 393 yards, an average of 6.2 yards per carry. He also has 11 receptions for 169 yards. He completed 16 of 28 passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns, while also carrying the ball seven times for 26 yards and a touchdown. He aided a Spartans rusher to go over 100 yards on the ground for the third straight game (Rayquan Smith, 142 yards).
