  Connor Degenhardt bookended a fourth-quarter spree of five Holy Cross touchdowns and the Crusaders stormed past Fordham 49-27 on Saturday to remain alone atop the Patriot League. Degenhardt ran 3 yards to tie the game at 21-all with 10:22 remaining and scored the Crusaders' final touchdown on a 4-yard run with 1:04 left. In between, Domenic Cozier ran 12 yards for a score, Peter Oliver sprinted 45 for another and John Smith returned an interception 42 yards for another TD. The victory keeps Holy Cross (6-5, 4-1) a game up over second-place Lafayette, Lehigh and Bucknell, all 3-2. Degenhardt threw for 194 yards including a touchdown. Domenic Cozier rushed for 156 on 19 carries with two scores. Ayir Asante had 119 yards receiving.   OCT 7 NE10 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Zach Cofrancesco, New Haven, Senior, DB, East Haven, Conn.,...Cofrancesco anchored the Chargers defense as New Haven defeated Pace to stay unbeaten on its home turf.. The graduate transfer finished the game with 10 tackles and added to that a pair of second quarter interceptions as well as a crucial fourth quarter forced fumble that effectively ended the game as the Chargers were able to run out the clock. Both of his interceptions set up scoring drives, all leading to a 28-7 lead at halftime.   SEPT 16 NE10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Shamar Logan, New Haven, R-Fr., RB - Brooklyn, N.Y.,...Logan ran over the Stonehill offensive line all day as he racked up 157 yards, the first New Haven player with 150+ since Oct. 1, 2016. Logan's career-high yardage came on 22 carries for an average of 7.1 yards per rush. In addition, he scored a pair of touchdowns, including a 47-yard run in the first quarter that gave New Haven its first TD of the day.   Connor Degenhardt threw for one touchdown and ran for another and Holy Cross held on for a 24-17 win over Lehigh in a battle of Patriot League leaders on Saturday. The Crusaders (5-4, 3-0) led 23-7 after Degenhardt his Tenio Ayeni for a 14-yard touchdown early in the third quarter. The Mountain Hawks (4-4, 3-1) got back into the game, but Chris Riley picked off a Tyler Monaco pass at the Holy Cross 5-yard line with 49 seconds left to seal the game. Lehigh had won four straight, with all three league games decided on the final play.

Degenhardt capped a 91-yard drive with a 1-yard plunge midway through the first quarter, a score set up by Domenic Cozier's career-long 88-yard run. Cozier finished with 190 yards on 22 carries. The Crusaders led 17-7 at the half and on the first play of the third quarter Terrell Prince forced a fumble and Kendrick Knight recovered on the Lehigh 33. Degenhardt cashed in with his touchdown pass six plays later. Tyler Monaco cut the deficit to 10 on a 33-yard hookup with Devon Bibbens after an interception, and a field goal with 6:41 to play provided the final points. Monaco was 26 of 39 for 282 yards. Holy Cross had a 388-319 yard advantage in total offense, with a 266-37 difference in rushing. Both teams had two turnovers, but Holy Cross had four sacks. - AP College Football

Dominic Cozier ran for 153 yards on 17 carries and Peter Oliver ran for 46 yards and a score. Holy Cross outgained Colgate 502-344. Degenhardt had two touchdown throws in the second quarter, beginning with a 31-yard strike to Ayir Asante and following up with a 13-yard TD pass to Tenio Ayendi to give Holy Cross a 21-3 advantage at halftime. His 58-yard touchdown pass to Asante midway through the third extended the Crusaders lead to 28-3 and Derek Ng's 20-yard field goal late in the quarter made it 31-3.   Connor Degenhardt threw for 315 yards and four touchdowns, Domenic Cozier and Peter Oliver each ran for scores and Holy Cross cashed in on two interceptions to beat Brown 47-31 on Saturday in the teams' first meeting since 2014. Degenhardt completed 20 of 30 passes and put the Crusaders (3-3) up for good, 20-14, on a 69-yard toss to Ayir Asante in the second quarter and later hit Asante on a 5-yard scoring pass. Jacob Dobbs intercepted a pass by EJ Perry on the third play of the game, setting up Cozier's 21-yard TD run seven plays later.

Brown replied with Allen Smith's 1-yard TD run on its next drive, but Holy Cross led 13-7 after Derek Ng kicked two field goals, including a 25-yarder set up by Liam Anderson's interception. Andrew Bolton's 2-yard run, set up by Cooper De Veau's fumble recovery on a punt return, put the Bears up 14-13, but Degenhardt hit Asante for the go-ahead TD and later hit Spencer Gilliam on a 2-yard TD pass in the third quarter and a 72-yarder in the fourth.   Connor Degenhardt threw a touchdown pass and ran for two scores and Holy Cross cashed in on a blocked field goal to beat winless Bucknell 21-14 in Saturday's Patriot League opener for both teams. Tied at 14 in the third quarter, Kevin Bucceroni blocked Ethan Torres' 37-yard attempt and the Crusaders (2-3) scored seven plays later on Degenhardt's 1-yard run. Bucknell (0-5) jumped to a 14-0 lead on Chad Freshnock's 2-yard TD run and Gerrit Van Itallie's 52-yard pick-6 of a Degenhardt pass.

Degenhardt hit Derek Mountain on a 33-yard scoring strike and tied it on a 1-yard sneak before halftime. The Bison weren't able to generate much offense after Degenhardt's go-ahead score and were forced to punt on two drives and lost a fumble on another. Torres missed a 40-yard field goal try with 4:27 to play and the Crusaders ran out the clock from there. Degenhardt was 19 of 34 for 276 yards with two interceptions.
