The 5-foot-9, 193-pound placekicker made 14 of 17 field goal attempts (82.4 percent), including 7-for-8 from 40-plus yards, to set the school's all-time record for single-season kick percentage. Hughes hit a career long of 45 yards three times, connected on his last seven attempts of the season with five kicks of 42-plus yards, and hit UNH's first game-ending field goal since 2002 with a 29-yarder that lifted the 'Cats past Rhode Island, 27-24, on Sept. 21. - New Hampshire Football

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound middle linebacker had a monster game in the home win against Elon with career highs in tackles (8.0) and sacks (3.0) to go along with a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown. For that performance, Manzyk was named the STATS FCS National Freshman Player of the Week, the CAA Football Rookie of the Week and won that week's New England Football Writers Gold Helmet Award. - New Hampshire Football

  2019 ALL-COLONIAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Evan Gray, New Hampshire, FB/HB, Sr., Centreville, Va,..Gray carried the ball 108 times for 646 rushing yards and four touchdowns, both of which were team highs. Gray averaged 58.73 rushing yards per game and 6.0 yards per carry. He also caught five passes for 28 yards and had one kickoff return for 12 yards for a total of 686 all-purpose yards.

Gray ranked No. 2 on the CAA leaderboard in yards per carry and eighth in rushing yards per game. He recorded his first 100-yard rushing game with seven carries for 123 yards - including a personal-best 81-yard run - in UNH's 27-24 win against the University of Rhode Island. Gray followed that with 99 rushing yards on 10 attempts vs. Duquesne University, and that included a 72-yard touchdown. - New Hampshire Football

His other stats included five pass breakups and seven tackles for loss, which included four sacks, as well as two forced fumbles and two fumbles recovered. Horn recorded a career-high 11 tackles, including 10 solo stops and a personal-best two sacks, as well as a forced fumble in the season finale vs. Maine. He was named STATS National Defensive Player of the Week and CAA Defensive Player of the Week in recognition of those stats. His other season highlights included a career-high two interceptions at nationally-ranked Delaware and a personal-best 13 tackles (eight solo, five assisted) against URI.   NOV 25 CAA FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Evan Horn, Jr., S, New Hampshire (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest),...Horn recorded a career-high 11 tackles, 2.0 TFL's, 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble as New Hampshire defeated Maine, 28-10. The junior's forced fumble at the UNH 35 ended a Maine drive in the third quarter and he also helped down a punt at the 1-yard line on special teams. The junior safety led a Wildcats' defense that held Maine to season-lows in total yards (313) and points (10). - CAA Football
