  03/15/20 - *Pete GuerrierorJr/2020, Monmouth, 5-09, 196 (DS#29 RB) + More +

As the Monmouth University football program conducted its annual Pro Day in front of scouts from 20 NFL teams last Thursday, the sports world was literally imploding amid a 48-hour period of cancellations and postponements that brought the games to a halt as the cornonavirus spread. Monmouth was able to get its Pro Day in at Sportika in Manalapan, with some impressive performances by its draft-eligible athletes. Running back Pete Guerriero, who led the FCS in rushing last season, ran a 4.47- second 40-yard dash. That would have been the fifth fastest time among running backs at the combine, behind Wisconsin superstar Jonathan Taylor (4.39), Darrynton Evans of Appalachian State (4.41), Maryland's Anthony McFarland (4.44) and Louisiana-Lafayette's Raymond Calis (4.44). Guerriero, 5-foot-9, 196 pounds, did 18 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press. - Asbury Park Press
