  2019 ALL-MISSOURI VALLEY HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): DL Matt McClellan,...McClellan was the Bears' most-feared pass rusher, posting tackles for loss in seven different games his senior year. He finished the 2019 season with 36 total tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks. He brought down nine ball carriers in the season opener at Northern Arizona and later logged a pair of sacks in the Bears' win at Western Illinois. He finished his two-year career with the Bears with 75 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and 9.0 sacks in just 22 games. With Egbim's support, MSU also forced NDSU into a season-high seven punts. Egbim logged 3.5 tackles for loss in the game for a career-high and brought down five ball carriers on key third-down plays.   Matt Struck threw for 396 yards and five touchdowns, four in the second quarter, Ty Flanagan rushed for 163 yards and a score and Idaho State dominated North Dakota 55-20 Saturday, beating the Fighting Hawks for the first time in Holt Arena. Coming out of the first quarter trailing 7-3, Struck threw touchdown passes to four different receivers as the Bengals (3-3) posted 28 unanswered points to put the game away.

Struck, 23 of 41, threw TD passes of 3, 6, 27 and 73 yards, respectively, to Austin Campbell, Mitch Gueller, Michael Dean and Tanner Conner. The go-ahead was a pinpoint strike to Gueller over two defenders at the back edge of the end zone. Gueller needed 41 yards to become the all-time leader for career receiving yards. He finished with 115, including a 39-yarder that put him over the top. Nate Ketteringham was 33 of 56 for 360 yards with a pair of TDs and two interceptions for the Fighting Hawks (3-3). North Dakota was out-gained 213-92 yards on the ground. - AP College Football

He matched his career-long punt with a 70-yarder in the second quarter and notched four kicks of 50 yards or more with two downed inside the 20.   OCT 7 MISSOURI VALLEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE: QB Peyton Huslig, Missouri State,...MSU's senior signal caller matched career highs with 28 completions and four passing touchdowns to help lead the Bears to a triple-overtime road win over Western Illinois in the Valley opener. Huslig finished 28-of-44 with no interceptions and 315 passing yards – his third-best single-game passing output.

He accounted for 231 passing yards in the second half and overtime. Huslig also eclipsed 5,000 career passing yards in the victory to become just the third player in MSU history to reach that milestone while securing his 11th career 200-yard passing effort. His 41-yard TD strike to Tyler Currie midway through the fourth quarter gave the Bears their first lead of the game after trailing by 14 points early, while his 25-yard scoring pass to Lorenzo Thomas on the first play of overtime set a blistering pace in the extra time. - Missouri Valley Conference Football
