  WEEK 12 CONFERENCE USA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jacob Clark, Missouri State - Sr. - QB - Rockwall, Texas,...Clark set a Missouri State record with 30 completions in Saturday's home win over UTEP, completing 30-39 (76.9%) tosses for 330 yards with no interceptions and four touchdowns. He completed passes to 10 different receivers and manufactured six scoring drives while helping the Bears (7-3, 5-1 CUSA) rack up 436 yards of total offense with 27 first downs. Clark eclipsed 300+ passing yards for the 10th time in his career and matched a Bears career record with his 19th career 200+ yard passing game.   WEEK 9 CONFERENCE USA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jacob Clark, Missouri St. - Sr. - QB - Rockwall, Texas,...After missing a game-and-a-half with an injury, Clark made the most of his return to the starting rotation for the Bears (4-3, 2-1 CUSA), throwing for 283 yards and three touchdowns to lead Missouri State to an overtime win at New Mexico State and the club's third road win of the 2025 campaign. In the process, Clark tied the Missouri State record for touchdown passes with the game-winning, seven-yard strike to Ronnel Johnson in overtime for the 47th scoring pass of his career. In just his 22nd career start, Clark also eclipsed 6,000 career passing yards, 6,000 career total offense yards and surpassed 100 career scoring drives. - Conference USA Football

  WEEK 9 CONFERENCE USA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Thomas Anderson, Missouri St. - Sr. - CB - Kansas City, Kan.,...Anderson logged a career-high 11 tackles in the squad's overtime win at New Mexico State, including another career-best 10 solo stops. Anderson's dazzling interception late in the second quarter at the MSU five-yard line killed an Aggie drive there and preserved a 7-7 deadlock heading into the half. His first pick as a Bear was also rated #3 on SportsCenter's Top 10 plays on Wednesday night.   Jacob Clark threw a season-high four touchdown passes and Missouri State defeated UTEP 38-24 on Saturday. The Bears (7-3, 5-1 Conference USA) led 24-7 at halftime, only to see the Miners storm back and tie it with a 17-point third quarter. In the fourth, Clark led touchdown drives of 75 yards and 74 yards to rally the Bears. He hit Tristian Gardner for a 12-yard touchdown and a 31-24 lead with 11 minutes remaining and his 3-yard scoring pass to Dash Luke made it 38-24 with a little more than 3 minutes left in the game.

Clark completed 30 of 39 passes for 330 yards. His top receivers were Jmariyae Robinson with 88 yards and Jeron Askren with two touchdowns. Shomari Lawrence had 109 yards rushing and a touchdown. UTEP's big third quarter featured a field goal, a Skylar Locklear touchdown run and a blocked punt for a touchdown. Locklear passed for 125 yards and led the Miners (2-8, 1-5) with 56 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The Bears are on a five-game win streak and are hopeful of being awarded a bowl bid although they are in their first season in FBS. - AP College Football

  Jacob Clark threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Tristian Gardner with 27 seconds to play to lift Missouri State to a 21-17 win over Liberty on Saturday. The Bears went 70 yards in a minute with Clark completing passes of 22, 20 and 15 yards before the winner. The Flames had a holding penalty and three incompletions before Jordan Dunbar's interception with four seconds left wrapped it up. Evan Dickens, who had 127 yards on 28 carries, scored on a 1-yard push to cap the game-opening drive, and Jay Billingsley had a 38-yard field goal on the last play of the half to give Liberty a 10-0 lead.

Clark threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Jmariyae Robinson to cap a 60-yard drive in the third quarter and scored on a 1-yard plunge to close an 80-yard drive to put the Bears (6-3, 4-1 Conference USA) on top early in the fourth. Quarterback Ethan Vasko scored on a 3-yard run for a 17-14 lead for Liberty (4-5, 3-2) with 8:10 to play, but the Flames never got past midfield on their last three possessions.   Jacob Clark threw for 163 yards and two touchdowns, Shomari Lawrence rushed for 104 yards and two scores against his former team, and Missouri State beat Florida International 28-21 on Wednesday night for the program’s first home win over a FBS program. Since the season opener at USC, Missouri State (5-3, 3-1 Conference USA) has held seven straight opponents under 30 points. The Bears are 6-0 in October games in the last two seasons. Clark and Jmariyae Robinson connected on two 8-yard touchdowns in the second half to push Missouri State’s lead to 28-14 with 8:21 left in the fourth quarter.

FIU got within one score with 3:29 left. But Clark had a key 8-yard run on third-and-6 with 1:38 left and Missouri State ran out the clock. Robinson finished with six catches for 47 yards and two touchdowns for Missouri State. Lawrence, who rushed for 743 yards and five touchdowns in two seasons at FIU (2023-24), scored on a 3-yard run in the first quarter and a 41-yard run in the second.   Jacob Clark found Ronnel Johnson in the end zone for a 7-yard touchdown on the first possession of overtime and Dylan Dixson ended the game with an interception to give Missouri State a 24-17 victory over New Mexico State on Wednesday night. Missouri State (4-3, 1-1 Conference USA) has won back-to-back games against FBS opponents for the first time in program history.

New Mexico State DL Henry Davis III got a hand on a third-and-7 pass near midfield with 2:29 remaining in regulation to force a Missouri State punt that went just 14 yards. Five plays later, Donovan Faupel caught an 11-yard pass in the end zone and New Mexico State kicked the extra point to tie it at 17-all. Missouri State had a chance to win it on the final play of regulation, but Yousef Obeid’s 50-yard field-goal attempt went wide right. Clark was 28 of 44 for 283 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions for Missouri State. Shomari Lawrence rushed for 97 yards.   WEEK 7 CONFERENCE USA FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Deuce Bailey, Missouri State - Fr. - QB - Bowling Green, Ky.,...In his first career start, Bailey went the distance to lead the Bears (3-3, 1-1 CUSA) to a come-from-behind victory at MTSU. He engineered a game-winning 10-play, 56-yard drive late in the fourth quarter that consumed nearly five minutes and culminated in the winning field goal with just over four minutes to play. Bailey also produced four consecutive scoring drives during a key stretch in the second and third quarters that elevated the Bears to leads at halftime and going into the fourth quarter. He finished the night 16-31 passing for 278 yards, no interceptions and a TD along with a five-yard rushing touchdown (the first of his career). - Conference USA Football

  Freshman Deuce Bailey threw for 278 yards and a touchdown, and he added a touchdown on the ground in his first career start as Missouri State beat Middle Tennessee 22-20 on Wednesday night for the program's first Conference USA victory. Missouri State (3-3, 1-1) is in its inaugural season in the FBS after finishing 8-4 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference last year. Missouri State capped the scoring on Yousef Obeid's third field goal with 4:22 remaining in the fourth quarter. Middle Tennessee responded with a nine-play, 44-yard drive, ending in Jacob Hathaway's 50-yard field goal attempt that was wide left. Obeid also made a 25-yard field goal on the first drive of the second half for a 19-13 lead.

Middle Tennessee (1-5, 0-2) has lost five straight home games dating to last season. Nicholas Vattiato was 30 of 42 for 267 yards and two touchdowns for MTSU. Jekail Middlebrook had 93 yards on the ground and Cam'ron Lacy caught six passes for 114 yards and two scores. Middle Tennessee took a 10-6 lead on a 52-yard touchdown reception by Lacy. But Missouri State answered with a 10-play, 79-yard drive, capped by Ronnel Johnson's 20-yard grab. The two teams last met on Oct. 18, 1986 when the Bears were called Southwest Missouri State.   Jacob Clark threw three touchdown passes and ran for two scores to lead Missouri State to a 42-10 rout of UT Martin on Saturday night. Clark ran for a 7-and 4-yard touchdown in the first quarter and then threw a pair of short-yardage TD passes sandwiched between the first and second quarters. His 17-yard touchdown pass to Dash Luke, who finished with nine receptions for 110 yards, just before halftime made it 35-0. Clark was 20-of-28 passing for 271 yards. Shomari Lawrence broke loose on a 50-yard touchdown to stretch the lead to 42-0 early in the third quarter for Missouri State (2-2). Lawrence carried eight times for 65 yards. Jase Bauer completed 19 of 27 passes for 122 yards for UT Martin (0-4). Thomas Ansley scored on a 1-yard run late for the Skyhawks. UT Martin was held to just 71 yards rushing, finished with 221 and committed three turnovers. - AP College Football

Three of his stops came on third down to end Marshall drives.   Jacob Clark threw for three touchdowns and 359 yards and led a late drive to send Missouri State past Marshall 21-20, giving the Bears their first win as an FBS program on Saturday. Clark helped lead a nine-play, 80-yard drive that ended with his 8-yard scoring pass to Jeron Askren with 2:12 remaining. The Missouri State (1-1) defense forced Marshall to turn it over on downs as the Thundering Herd (0-2) lost 5 yards in four plays. Missouri State took over and proceeded to kill the clock. In the third, Clark threw a 52-yard touchdown pass to Jmariyae Robinson with 7:59 left in the third quarter to bring Missouri State within 20-14. After scoreless first quarter, Clark threw a 57-yard touchdown to Ramone Green Jr. for a 7-0 Bears lead.

Marshall countered with 14-yard scoring run by Zion Turner, a 37-yard touchdown run by Justin Williams Thomas and field goals of 50 and 33 yards by Lorcan Quinn before Missouri State staged its comeback. Missouri State ended Marshall's nine-game home win streak and 15th straight home opening win. Clark entered needing 159 passing yards to hit 5,000 for his career.
