Shaun Shivers ran for 115 yards and two touchdowns, including a 1-yarder in double overtime, to lift Indiana to a 39-31 come-from-behind victory over Michigan State on Saturday. Indiana's James Head Jr. blocked Ben Patton's 28-yard field goal in overtime and Michigan State's Michael Fletcher blocked Charles Campbell's 37-yard kick to send the game to double overtime. After Dexter Williams threw a 24-yard pass to AJ Barner to start the second overtime, Shivers ran for the game-winner. Williams threw a two-point conversion pass to Barner to give the Hoosiers an eight-point cushion. Michigan State failed to score as it could only drive to the 13-yard line. Michigan State (5-6, 3-5) appeared to be running away with the game after building a 17-point halftime advantage, but the Hoosiers rallied in the second half.

The Hoosiers (4-7, 2-6) closed within 24-14 at the start of the second half when Shivers broke free for a 79-yard touchdown run. The Spartans responded with Elijah Collins scoring his second touchdown of the game on a 31-yard burst through the line. Indiana's Jaylin Lucas, who had 168 kickoff return yards, returned the ensuing kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown. Following an interception of a pass by Payton Thorne, the Hoosiers' Campbell made a 40-yard field goal to cut it to 31-24. Josh Henderson tied the game at 31 with 12:59 left on a 1-yard run. Michigan State had a chance to win the game in regulation but Patton missed a 22-yard field goal as time expired. - Indiana/AP College Football

Indiana coach Tom Allen made a rare midseason coaching change Sunday when he fired offensive line coach and run-game coordinator Darren Hiller. The move comes one day after the Hoosiers (3-3, 1-2 Big Ten) rushed for 29 yards and allowed seven sacks in a 31-10 loss to No. 4 Michigan. Hiller was in his sixth season with Indiana and had survived a staff shakeup following last season's dismal 2-10 mark. Indiana opened this season with three straight come-from-behind wins but has now lost three in a row, largely because of an inconsistent offense and a leaky offensive line that has allowed a Big Ten-worst 19 sacks.

Former Indiana offensive lineman Rod Carey takes over both jobs for the rest of this season. He was hired in the offseason as a quality control coach after spending the previous nine seasons as a head coach, compiling a 64-50 record while earning seven bowl bids. At Northern Illinois, Carey led the Huskies to four Mid-American Conference division titles, two league championships and the 2013 Orange Bowl. He played for Indiana's winningest all-time coach, the late Bill Mallory, from 1990-93. - AP College Football

Christian Turner had two of No. 15 Wake Forest's four rushing touchdowns in a 45-10 victory over Army on Saturday night. The Demon Deacons (5-1) put on an early clinic in rushing offense against an Army team that favors an all-out running attack. Justice Ellison led Wake Forest running backs with 96 yards on 11 carries with a touchdown. Sam Hartman threw a touchdown pass on his way to 246 yards on 13-for-19 passing. Wake Forest, which won for the second week in a row following a double-overtime loss to Clemson, compiled 94 first-quarter rushing yards while claiming a 14-0 lead. The Demon Deacons finished with 267 yards rushing.

Army (1-4) lost in its lone road game across a two-month stretch on the schedule. The Black Knights had 225 rushing yards, led by Ay'Jaun Marshall with 44 on three carries. The Black Knights finally scored on Jemel Jones' 20-yard pass to Isaiah Alston in the fourth quarter. The Demon Deacons scored on Quinton Cooley's 1-yard, fourth-down run with 2:37 to play in the first half. Army had 194 yards of first-half offense, but was hurt by two turnovers. The Black Knights had a couple of strong scoring chances. They fumbled on the game's first possession inside the Wake Forest 10, resulting in the Demon Deacons' 91-yard touchdown drive. Another chance went by the wayside on Quinn Maretzki's missed 42-yard field goal in the third quarter. - Wake Forest/AP College Football
